I strongly suggest SOS at Singer 2017 (all episodes to be honest) to enjoy this song at its best... flawless techniques and a whole bunch of voice colors and styles with superb stage presence, a mature artist at his 24yrs old (back then). Maybe Sinful Passion at Sochi, Daybreak at Bastau, Love of tired swan, Mademoiselle Hyde, Screaming Idol Hits and Love is like a dream are also a must to listen. Dimash and TWB didn't end up in good terms, in kazakh culture adults do not compete against kids they only encourage and support them but TWB lied to him about it before it begun. Even more they cut (butchered) short all his performances to less than 2mins. Peace!

This is not the best performance of Dimash, the song was cut almost half or more. The best SOS performance was at the Slavic Bazaar in Belarus (to my mind) and at the Chinese contest I Am Singer. Please, react to Sinful Passion (the News Wave contest in Sochi, Russia in 2018 or at the Moscow concert in Kremlin in March 2019) + Love is Like a Dream + his new song Ogni Pietra at the recent concert at Astau arena in Kazakhstan (the last is really killing))))

"The world's best" was one of the worst competition in the world and the worst in his career. Dimash is phenomenal but you saw the worst chopped performance on TWB. Not only does he have a spectacular voice but he is the most charismatic performer.

Thank you Justin for your attention of Dimash. People and millions of his fans call him “alien”. It’s true. But to my mind he is the alien not from another planet but from another world. Parallel world where music is just a language using to speak 😊😊😊 Dimash suddenly burst into the music world in 2017 when he was just 22. It was TV show in China “I Am Singer”. And he became a Star after his first performance there. By the way just a couple weeks ago he presented his new solo show on stadium with about 40 000 + fans from more then 60 countries. The show called “Arnau” (“Initiation”). Check it please to see his progress as a singer and performer. By the way when he finished his last song he flew away on UFO. Ha-ha... i think it was his sarcastic joke to provoke gossips.

I can already tell I'm gonna love your channel. If you really wanna learn/discover Dimash's performing and singing talent, I highly, highly recommend going on the "Dimash Journey:" watching his "The Singer" singing competition show performances starting with episode #1 "SOS." His 3 performances on the show "The World's Best" were cut short from the original full-length songs (he was also sick in TWB SOS). He still sang great (as you mentioned) but these songs are really edited all over the place to be very short.

Brand new subscriber here. I wanted to thank you for a few things. Thank you so much for reacting to Dimash. He calls us (his fans) his Dears. I'm also happy to hear a reactor correctly assess his skill as hard earned and tirelessly worked for. He was born with longer vocal cords than normal but that's not why he's a near flawless singer and performer. I was classically trained for 8 years throughout school and as someone who had a little bit of talent in music, I definitely understand this because I tended to be better than the other students in band and chorus. But it wasn't because I was gifted (cuz I wasn't). I spent most of my personal time singing, playing my flute, studying music theory and listening to music. I was driven because I loved it but it wasn't the little bit of talent I had that made me so good. It was all the work I put into it every day. So many reactors will refer to Dimash as an alien or an angel. To me that doesn't pay respect to all that work he's done over the years. So thank you so much for acknowledging that. Also, I thought you might consider shielding your lights or in some way filtering that light a little because it's washing your face and eyes out. Your eye color tells me that your dad may have been a white walker (Game of Thrones reference). But I doubt they are quite that icy blue. **giggle** You're probably already aware of this but as you are marketing yourself and your skills, you want to put your best face forward. Just some food for thought. Hoping to be helpful. =)

Oh, Dear Justin. It is most unfortunate that your first reaction to Dimash's singing is this truncated and mutilated version of his "Le SOS d'un terrien en détresse." The mutilation is the work of the American orgnaisers of "The World's Best" competition in Los Angeles towards the end of 2018 (October?). Dimash made his conquest of the world in China, in the "Singer 2017" contest organised by Hunan Television with this very song. I was immediately addicted to his singing and his beautiful personality, and continue to be so till the end of my life. He was the first contestant to sing in the Hunan competition (he was 22 at the time of the performance). After the show, he won LITERALLY overnight 1.4 million fans (we now number tens of millions all over the world, and Dimash calls us DEARS). I'm extremely impressed that you got it through this truncated version fully and profoundly. Dimash is an incredible phenomenon. He is, of course, naturally talented but he has 20 years of training (classical, modern, pop) in the University of Arts of Qazaqstan (formerly Kazakhstan). He has performed "Le S.O.S.) at innumerable concerts of his. Justin, go on reacting and listening, and enjoying Dimash. I can guarantee that you'll not be disappointed. I venture to say that Dimash is the best, the most versatile singer in the world.

He plays several music instruments like the Kazakh string instrument dombra - song Daidadu (Bastau concert) or drum (Tribute to MJ with Laure - Singer competition 2017). You could watch Dimash songs on the channel of Gloria Wu, cause she has English subtitles and often background stories for example the story behind "Daybreak". You would like Dimash´s Bastau concert , there he had many amazing performances like Diva dance from Fifth elements. He graduated as a M.A. from the Qazaqstan University of Arts in May 2018. He has been trained since the age of five, and he goes on, three hours every day with a teacher. -- What you commented on (as such a showy video) is a maimed and cut version of Dimash's singing "Le S.O.S. d'un terrien en détresse" in the Los Angeles competition of "The World's Best" (October 2018?), with a 1,000,000,000 dollar price for the winner. What you commented on was Dimash's first performance, and he won the first round. Yes, the "gentleman" you supposed to be RuPaul, was really him, acting as the chief judge. In this "World's Best" competition America had 150 votes (given by three judges), the other countries put together had 49 votes (there are about 200 countries in the world). This is American conception of democracy, I guess. -- As a precondition for his consenting to participate in the competition Dimash had determined that he will not compete against children. The organisers promised that he will not be obliged to compete with children. -- In the morning of the third day, Dimash however met a Qazaq girl, whose participation he had been assisting financially, who told him that she and Dimash would be competing against each other. -- Dimash did sing his third song. "All by Myself" (Céline Dion), but once he had finished, he gave a statement announcing that he will quit the competition, right then and there, because the promise given to him had been broken by the organisers. A commotion ensued. RuPaul, the chief judge, called Dimash b u l l s h i t. And not only once but twice. -- After this experience Dimash announced also that he will not participate in any more competitions.

"Rethink your life" was such a perceptive comment. I believe that Dimash is a historic event, the effects of which will make the world a new place. He was born with perfect pitch and he continually improves on perfection. His favorite possession, even in babyhood, was a bag of old cassettes. He knew there was music in them. He performed publicly beginning when he was 2. His mother is a celebrated opera singer; his father sings produces and directs.

Greetings of Peace Dimash…! And to all the personnel’s who worked with you, and all others who did the translation, produced videos and uploaded it on line. My heartfelt gratitude to the reactors worldwide for your great help and service, so that artists can improve and or develop their talents and gifts at their best in order to serve better the listening public. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. The discipline, courage, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his singing career to the best of his ability the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Hope his listeners around the world especially the young will learn something from his optimistic views in pursuing his career, his persistency, courage, creativity and perseverance. His labors and hard work are now indeed bearing fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and to his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the content of its music. The power and beauty of his voice is so incredible even at his lowest and highest notes. Also the fact that, he is able to sing his music with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices are really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said oooh… is Dimash human..? I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and probably surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation. But I believed and I’m convinced that Dimash 20 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted but his hard work and years of practice and experiences proves it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible. My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..? Although all Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it. With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below about these music is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. For all those who read these reflections and commentaries of mine about this piece of music performed by Dimash. If you think it is helpful for you, for your family and friends you can share it to them as you please, and I do really appreciate it. Song of Dimash in French “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song: I like this music because it reminds me the truth and Realities of Human Life) Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our life’s journey, but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discern well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity or a means of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with great humility and discernment. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth” St. Paul reminded us that “the sufferings of this present time are nothing to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters into us, our nature has been wounded, and we experience suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but it is part of the reality of our human lives now. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. Death is such a peaceful event in our life if we die in the state of grace, meaning if we did reconcile with God and at peace with others. Death is the end of our earthly life. Our lives are measured by time, in the course of which we change, grow old and, as with all other living beings on earth. Since it is unknown to all of us the time of our death, therefore, it is best that we prepare at all times, otherwise we are caught by surprise of not being ready when God comes to take us to be with Him forever in our eternal home in bliss.
