Katrina is one of those Filipino talents that need international recognition ! One endearing trait of hers is, she doesn't take herself too seriously... another "as is, where is" personality that is quite rare. But her talent is definitely world-class !

Showing my age but her doing Karen Carpenter was so good because Karen was so unique , not easy to copy. But Katrina is such a good vocalist , she won me back when she sang 'Never Enough' from her home during lockdown using her iphone mic. She's not just a singer , she's an entertainer. She’s an amazing singer. Given the right venue, she can top the chart worldwide. Thank you for reacting to her again. Please check out her coach too, Gary Valenciano, singing “Spain” in the Wishbus. You’ll see why he was regarded as a legend in the Philippines and why younger singers like Katrina, Morissette, KZ Tandingan, Marcelito Pomoy, the TNT Boys, etc. look up to him for inspiration. KATRINA VELARDE is one of the best Pilpina singers out of the Philippines recently. It's great to see her having fun with all the voices. There are some serious singers from there but it's great to see Katrina having fun. She is differently one of my favorite singers from the Philippines.😎

While most celebrities become bubble heads even before they hit superstardom, Katrina Velarde consistently stays the same wacky down to earth person she has always been. She cannot seem to take herself too seriously and just sticks to what she knows she can do best - sing. No drama. No diva air or any of the typical superficial nonsense.
