I got one of the beige ones when I was a kid. Sadly no one showed me how to tie off the chain stitch so everything I sewed just came undone! Nice review, Tim!
I recently just got the beige one out of curiosity. And it is such a little treasure. It worked really super well, and I love the fact that it doesn't run on electricity.
Hi. Valuable history you’ve done here. Thanks. I just bought a 1940’s Sewhandy version 4 to replace a Sewhandy I gave away years ago & missed. I still have my mother’s Singer featherweight that my father bought her when they married in the early 1950’s with the original receipt in the case. And I have my full size 1970’s Singer which is a solid machine. Love Singer!
