Eurovision makes it happen :D And that is one of the reasons why I love it because we get to see artists we probably never would have. This year the obsession is real. I dont recall when we were so obsessed with an artist like this year
🇺🇸 Expat here living in Europe, and Måneskin is just taken over Europe. These kids are all under 22 yrs of age, NO drugs, great stage presence. I hope they can break into North America! Great review!
Canadian expat with a sixteen year old daughter lol We live in France and I just bought tickets to their show in Torino next April. She is obsessed! Thank God I like them too!
@@paulahare9955 That is great! It will be a blast I am sure. Isn't it great luving in Europ??? I love it and you must too. Sixteen years says a lot. Have fun in Torino! 🙏❤️
"Coraline", "Vent'anni", "In nome del padre", "Torna a casa", "Le parole lontane", "La paura del buio".. "For your love", "Beggin", "Chosen"..every song is amazing and a whole new experience! You should listen to the italian songs reading the lyrics because their stories are truly amazing... And... welcome to the Maneskin world 🔥🔥🔥
Just came here to like the "please do Coraline/Torna a casa" comments, can't wait to see you reading those lyrics, the contrast with "I wanna be your slave" is huge 😂
I would like to see a reaction before he reads the translation. I just happened across Torna a casa and was in tears even though I neither speak nor understand Italian. It's a stunning song
every single song is written and arranged by them every track is spectacular! their versatility, their passion, their desire to shout feelings and emotions to the world make their songs special. they are everything ... their style unites the youngest and the oldest! I've seen them twice in concert and their energy is overwhelming !!!! i love this guys listen to all the songs on their albums, read the lyrics and fall in love with them!
@Veronica Pascucci No no no no. Donald Trump not withstanding, most of us can read “in context.” It’s just that incredibly stupid people are often the loudest. ;-)
Listen all their songs. They will become sooo big soon! The vocal is amazing. He’s one in a million! He has the charisma of big rock star such as Freddy Mercury on the stage. He’s just 22 and already amazing! Can’t imagine him in 10 years. He makes me wanna learn Italian!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻By the way the name of the band is Danish, so you need to pronounce the begining as Mo-ne- skin.
Well , welcome in the Maneskin obsession. As a song writer it is truly important that you react to their Italian songs checking for videos with English subtitles and you will get thousands of new subscribers Remember every Maneskin song is surprising, they are always different from themselves you won’t regret it
Måneskin (read: moh-ne-skin) are amazing! They have such a diversity of repertoire: ballads (Torna a casa, Vent’anni, Caroline), heavy stuff (In nome del padre), dance pop (L’altra dimensione), and each piece is a masterpiece! I can’t recall any other artist being on solo repeat with me this long! And on top of everything - their lyrics in Italian is ocean deep - do take en effort reading the translation! Or (rephrasing them) - maybe its an ocean inside me?
Love Victoria's fuzz bass tone being prominent. Most of the times when the bass is soloed they let the fuzz off and bring a fuzz track in to thicken up the overall mix during sections. That's just what her tone is, like the old bassists did in the seventies like the guy from Mountain.
Watch Zitti E Buoni at the Eurovision, they freaking killed it. And then the rest of the material they have, you will not regret it. This is just the beginning ;)
This sounded so good! I first wondered if it's really a live performance but then learned that they recorded their whole album (Teatro d'ira: Vol. I) live!! Amazing..
The singer Damiano is also the writer of their lyrics and everybody toghether make the music. Listen also chosen, coraline, torna a casa, vent'anni, in nome del padre, for your love and theyre cover of black ti black, amandoti and beggin. But with lyrics because are poem. They begin theyr music on the street of Rome when they was so young (now the singer as 22 years old and the drummer the guitarist and the bass 20)
Måneskin, is Danish for Moonlight. Victoria, the bass player is half Danish - the band wanted a random name, so they asked her for a random word 😉 The closest phonetic pronunciation: m oh né skeen hello from Denmark 🌸 🌱
Check out 'Coraline' with subtitles -- incredible song, sheer songwriting poetry. Also 'Torna a casa'...and pretty much anything else they do. Such talent.
Maneskin is danish meaning "moonshine" and more speaking "Moneeskin". "Zitti e buoni" translates "shut up and behave", the way parents advise their childs. The song is about doing your own thing as young people, aginst the pressure of the social surrounding.
I am an Italian girl and Måneskin have been famous in Italy since 2017, I wanted to let you know that you have censored swear words in English but not those in Italian in "zitti e buoni"
It's funny to watch you, as a grown man, to hum and haw and can't find the words because you don't want to say he sings about sexual fantasies and attraction towards another person. I think the lyrics are awesome. It's very intelligent how they play with opposites. How he is the master supposed to be strong but then he "wanna be a good boy" and then "gangster" in the next line and later "I'm crying all my tears". Also in a Master Slave sexual play normally the Slave is more seen as "toy" but he sings "I wanna be your sex toy". And on the other side he really likes do dominate the other person. This mixture of dominance and self-sacrificing adoration and love is a work of art in itself.
I agree 100%. It's almost embarrassing to see someone younger than me (I'm nearly 64!) getting so twee and coy about sexual matters. Watching Damiano David really makes me wish that I was 22 again...
If you want some more on the rock side from them I suggest - after you've watched the eurovision grand finale - the official video of "Morirò da Re", the "Kiss this" performance on X Factory Italy and "Nel nome del padre" with lyrics, while if you want something more ballad-ish try masterpieces like "Coraline" (with english translation! mandatory! ;)), "Amandoti" Live on Radio 2, "Vent'anni", "Torna a casa" ;) have fun going down the rabbit hole!!
What I like about your reaction video is that you are not afraid of the gap, the silence. In a lot of reaction videos I see people try to talk every two seconds just because, but the truth is normally a human reacts with their whole body, not just their mouth. A raised eyebrow, an intense look, a bobbing of the head, a laugh speaks volumes, and when you have something to say you say it. Thank you
I’m European and we don’t often bleep swear words out over here (uhm at least not in Sweden)... but I really thought that it was a typical thing for broadcasters on american TV to do, not on and individual person’s RU-vid channel. 🙃 You don’t have to bleep it, us Europeans can take a bit of swearing here and there. 💕 🤟 However… glad you enjoyed the songs. 😅
I think in here Europe swearing in tv shows is sensored until clock hits 9pm/21 unless it’s movies and usually those movies come late at night at least in Finland
Im from Europe l and really, no one cares about swear words. It was funny for me when I heard that in the USA some parents don't let their children listen to rap music and etc.
@@claudiacanavati1983 ok but do you think Italians prononce with Danish accent??? In France Pizza is pronouced "Pidza" in Italy "Pitssa".. Do you think French have the best pronouciation? Its a détail after all...... nothing important. This band is still good thats all. Menskin Manéskin MOnskin Da me m'importa una segua
@@chimeraaretina1450 😅 and why are you getting angry? I'm just giving information, if you want to say it in an Italian way its fine 😊 I am not Danish or Italian, I talk Spanish but I chose to say it in the Danish pronunciation ✨
Whoops, I lost my comments. The band is from Rome where they started by performing in the streets of Rome. They won the Italian song festival (San Remo) then the European one. They are all very young with incredible talent. Damian, the lead singer is the oldest of the four. Listen to Torna a Casa, Coraline, and La Paura del Buio for incredible vocals by David. Listen to Somebody Told Me and Beggin’ for great rhythm and beats. This is just my humble opinion as I’m no expert just an older Italian American who happens to think this band is something unique and special! By the way I loved your critique!
You should react to Coraline with english subtitles or torna a casa with english subtitles or in nome del padre with english subtitles or for your love or back to black cover live or vent'anni with english subtitles or New Song 😁👍 Thanks
These guys can really berform and deliver and navigate different sounds and styles ...it's like " any idea is good if it's a good idea " as long as they enjoy it 👍 Totally great and genious young guys on a totally healthy level 💖💞💓 Sex and Love and Rock n'Roll " 😅😍🔥
have a look at their song Coraline..there's a video out there with the lyrics translated... I suggest you pay close attention to those..because they're intense
I'm out of my mind, but different from them And you're out of your mind, but different from them We are out of our minds, but different from them We are out of our minds, but different from them Speak, unfortunately people speak He doesn't know what he's talking about You take me to where I float That I miss the air here Speak, unfortunately people speak He doesn't know what he's talking about You take me to where I float That I miss the air here Speak, unfortunately people speak He doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about You take me to where I float That I miss the air here
I'm the only one that has the feeling that "Zitti e Buoni" is Elsa from Frozen saying "you know what? I'm gonna sing this but in a badass and not-family friendly version"
Hei great video. Just wanted to quickly help you out with the pronunciation. Måneskin is pronounced [mɔnəskin] and the sonɡ Zitti e buoni is pronounced [dzit:ti e bwɔni]. Hope the IPA transcription helps you. 😊 Maybe for your next listen you should concider the song "Vengo dalla luna" check the translation too, the words are amazing. This song is about 14 years old and they recorded it in their own way and made some changes so definitely worth listening to the original version and the one that Måneskin recorded.
Please react to their performance at Eurovision they won. It's called Måneskin - Zitti E Buoni - Italy 🇮🇹 - Grand Final - Eurovision 2021 also listen to "Caroline" there is a video with eng. subs.
Brad Steele Hallo, please 🙏 react to Maneskin "for your love" LIVE in Germany (Koln) for their promotional tour of Europe. The Damiano's performance is Crazy! Thanks.
