Lol here I am in sept 2023 and I literally have no clue what I’m doing. Luckily, my sister-in-law and my mom are both very excellent sewing ladies lol. And I just texted them both with excitement that I had loaded my bobbin, threaded my needle and sewed a straight line but I had to watch the video 43,000 times.
The part you turn to thread the needle on my Singer Patchwork 7200 Series doesn't twist enough to catch the thread in the needle. Is there something wrong with this machine and I need to exchange it?
Thank you for the lessons, I got my machine today and I am trying to learn how everything works. Do you have any classes for the button to sew without using the foot pedal?
Hi! Thank you for the kind words and for watching! For potential classes, please visit the following link to locate your local Singer retailers: www.singer.com/store-locator/. Thank you! -TB
I recently got one of these sewing machines fairly new, slightly used, and I have followed all instructions to refill the bobbin, however when I go to wind the bobbin it will spin for a few seconds then beeps with error code E2, not sure what is wrong and I need help!
This is so helpful and informative! I am considering on getting the patchwork 7285, it seem very similar to this stylist 7258, do they basically thread the same, as shown in this video?
Hello Christina! Yes, both the SINGER Patchwork 7285 & the SINGER Stylist 7258 thread the same. Please see the attached comparison between the two: www.singer.com/compare/230023112/7258.CL. Thank you! -MM
@@SingerSewingCompany thank you for your reply! It looks like I’ll be making a decision on which one to get from your site! I’m a beginner and don’t plan to really do quilting but the comparisons are so similar to the stylist 7258, beside the needle up/down in the 7285, which I’m not sure what exactly that means because they both have a programmable needle up/down. Hopefully I’m making the right choice with the 7285! I’m excited!
@@Itsbebee They are both great machines, you can't go wrong! To answer your question about the Needle Up/Down feature, when you stop sewing you can set your machine to stop with the needle in the down position instead of turning the hand wheel towards yourself to put the needle into your fabric. Its a great feature to have! Thank you! -MM
Let’s see how it goes, I just got This as my first sewing machine for Christmas. So we will see if this video helps! Also, can I use the bobbins that came with the machine? Or do I have to use the ones you said in the video?

I had the same problem. For me it was because the needle wasn't in the highest position. Turn the wheel until it's all the way up, then the threader will meet the eye properly.
Hi, Chelsea. In this video, we stopped when we had enough thread for our project. However, you can keep winding until the thread is near the edge of the bobbin. Hope this helps! - JV
So, my needle threader, when brought down as low as it will go, is too high on the needle to thread it... how do I fix this? This is the first time I am threading the needle and using my machine. Nvm I finally figured it out 🤦🏽♀️

Hi Le! Be sure that your needle is in the full upright position before engaging the needle threader. It takes a little practice but worth it. Thanks! -TB
Steals I had the same issue as well. You do need to have the needle at its highest point. Then lower the threader/prongs as low as it can go and hope it'll turn. That's what did the job for me.

@@SingerSewingCompany Hi. Tnx for answering. I have a Singer Stylist 7258. The automatic threader comes down but doesn’t thread the needle any more. It worked fine when I bought it. Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated. I have arthritis and really need that feature. Thank you.
@@chanagoldwag5661 Thank you the information about your SINGER Stylist 7258 again I apologize you are having difficulties with your automatic needle threader. I would recommend at this point locating your nearest SINGER warranty center for them to better diagnose the machine: www.singer.com/warranty-center. Thank you -MM
@@SingerSewingCompany Thank you very much for your suggestion. I have been having success threading the machine using a magnifier. As everything else is working and it is hard for me to get out I will not be bringing the machine in. Thank you very much. As Mr. Singer cared so too the company cares.
