This is the version I learned at the Baptist church I grew up in in L.A. If I close my eyes I am back at that church with the people that I love, many who are singing and praising now in Heaven including my mother. So thankful that at the foot of that old rugged cross I finally saw the light. Peace and Blessings to all who may read this. ✝️ 🙏🏽
These songs Are embedded in my soul!Since I was a child growing up TexasThankful for his mercy and blessings after all these years Savior please do not pass me by
This song fell in my spirit this morning and I’m happy I was able to find one of my favorite pastors singing this. Praying crying and worshiping on my way to work! Thank you Lord 🙌🏾🙏🏾💪🏾
I know a lot of people listen to rap listen to The blues listen to jazz but now it's time to listen to the gospel God said he will forgive but give him a reason to forgive you and me everyone no one is perfect but one man and we all know him if you can't pick a man up do not put him down at the end of the day and remember that hot pepper said that
I grew up in a Pentecostal Church in Washington, D.C. Elder Lamb the church's pastor would always engage our congregation in this song prior to his preaching... I love this song!!!
Another video I came upon that comforted me when Mom was in the hospital! Thank you! And thank the LORD for the light of His glorious love shown abroad through our hearts!❣
MAN This is my kind of music!!!!! Iam 16 and I love songs like these the new type style its all for show But you dont feel this music I dont know if you have any feelings lol
I have a Bro Dewey Smith playlist created because of the anointing is wonderful. I pray, clean house, well I try to clean house but I start weeping and praising the Lord. As you can guess, if I want to clean house I probably shouldn't play this but I can't help myself. Love this music. Thank you so much for allowing Jesus to shine his life and light out of you. Wonderful!
The 1st song I sung in church with my cousin at the age of 7yrs old Now I’m 36.5 years old (1983) ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Definitely singing, “AT THE CROSS” during this Covid-19 world outbreak
you talk about God's gift of song! Amen! i listen to Pastor Dewey sing on this computer at least once a day. i LOVE the old school, aint got time for all that hippity hoppity gospel music...i need something that is going to help usher in the spirit! Amen, love it, thanks for posting this playlist.
Thank you. After seeing so many variations of the same song title on RU-vid, *_this_* is what I was looking for. I just wish it had lasted longer, and they'd have sung the verses, but I will take what I can get. Blessings!
At the cross..where I 1st saw my death and the burdens of my life nailed and taken away..It was there by grace where I saw how to receive new life..now I am happy All Day..Amen, ijn
Thank God for an anointed man like Pastor Smith, he has remained true to traditional Baptist services, songs and preaching. GTRBC members are so blessed to have him, unfortunately, many young ministers, today have strayed so far away from traditional bible-based church service that it is driving members to seek more traditional gospel services, Again, thanks 4 RU-vid and Pastor Smith, we definitely need more like him. Consider doing satellite churches across America, u r needed!
At the Cross is our only answer to what is going on in this wicked world. Jesus is the beginning to get this world right with our Fatber God. He is the solution to all our problems. He is the answer and only answer that people are looking for. The heart of man is wicked. Let's all turn to the Cross and the blood of Jesus to redeem this world. The Blood will never lose it's Power.
T Kelly, Bless you Keep that frame of mind. I wish more young people shared your thoughts. My Lord, @ the cross. This song sends shivers down my spine.
Love your singing so much and very inspiring. Love them old hymns and you be singing them. Hope to visit your church really soon. It will be worth a 7 hour drive I honestly believe.
1 alas! and did my Savior bleed And did my Sov’reign die? Would He devote that sacred head For such a worm as I? 2 Was it for crimes that I had done He groaned upon the tree? Amazing pity! grace unknown! And love beyond degree! Refrain At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light, And the burden of my heart rolled away, It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day!
@ShowtimeWeb i'm a preacher of the gospel, the anwser to your question is , "nothing"..lolol! the real answer is. people said that it represented the body of jesus being covered up...but the truth is the white blanket is an ole tradition coming out the south to protect the wine and the bread from flies. alot of the church services were held in tents and the ones that werent didnt have air conditions in there so flies would tend to be in the sanctuary.....hope that help..Rev.Cannon
@ShowtimeWeb, I had the same question !! and what the other two said was the same answer I was given. Once we asked, we stopped covering up the communion, just the table is dressed with the white cloth.
