On Father's Day 2011, a flash mob in Fayetteville, NC paid tribute to soldiers throughout the country as our way of saying 'thank you' for the untold sacrifices soldiers make by leaving their families behind to serve.
I am a Canadian and really appreciate seeing the Americans at their best when they unabashedly salute its solders in such a genuine and open way. God bless.
What made this special for me were 2 facts. 1. The people singing are a mix of what makes America great - the colors of the rainbow. 2. There was an older vet singing towards the end who was wearing a blue cap, most likely in the navy. I can assure you that he never received anything like that nor did he want it but I know him being at the mall singing made him, (and all of us), feel better. THANK YOU!
Our troops really need to know how much the American ppl love and support them. Even as a Vet I still thank members of our military for protecting the freedoms that I have and the privileges I enjoy. From the bottom of my heart thank you to all who have served and who now serve my Country. God Bless you all...
Spectacular...To all the members of our armed forces here in the US, thanks for doing what you do. There are many of us that never get to truly express our gratitude, but if you are a member of our armed forces, know there are many that think of you often and respect the work you guys (and gals) do.
Just saw this and have to say it moved me to tears... more and more the thank yous must be given... Thank you for doing this.. and thank you to all military and their families for what you do for all of us...
I am so proud of my country and the men and women who serve it so bravely and selflessly. Every one of our soldiers should be appreciated in this wonderful way. Thank you for your service and thanks to that wonderful chorus!
Wow... made me cry. That was such a beautiful and touching way to show your appreciation. As a military spouse for 20 years I saw how rarely these men and women get a sincere "Thank You". Thank you for your service and thank you to his wife that served her country at home while he was deployed, that is a thankless job too.
I cried. I was so moved that I cried. I was a soldier in the Maryland Militia, served seven years; never saw active duty abroad, but I respect my fellow soldiers that put life and limb in jeopardy. You can't put a price on the danger they face when overseas. For that, I salute them, and your husband. Thank you for making America what it is.
Beautiful dedication to a soldier's sacrifice! I did think it strange, however, that the soldier didn't show any emotion. He didn't smile, shed a tear, wave thank you or salute to the crowd. He seemed numb and therefore you don't see anyone going up to him afterward to say thank you for your service. Maybe he just felt uncomfortable with all those cameras pointed at him.
What an amazing gesture, I'm sure the soldiers really appreciated it. Thank you to all the soldiers who fight so valiantly for their countries & for the good of the innocent.
I've not sung our anthem at our soldiers, but i have said thank you to many of those that serve our country that have passed through my station, and i always feel honoured to have met them.
i thank you for your service not only to the states but to the world as well every time i see a soldier i thank them its not much but its better then not letting them know you care and have respect for them
I was a navy nurse for awhile and served at the MASH/SURGICAL/ICU unit in Iraq for four years...Along with my brothers and sisters still serving, I say THANK YOU, GOD BLESS YOU, PLEASE hurry home safely! we all think of how hard it is in america these days, taxes, taxes,taxes, thank you nc for reminding us all how much we love this country and thank all the soldiers that maintain us all. God bless america and God and everyone bless our soldiers. just think about how much we miss our families when we're away for just a few days, then think about the sacrifice our soldiers make, for a year and sometimes longer and over and over, thank you all for everything you you do and everything you give.

we are still fighting, we are still sacrificing, and this mass of ordinary people who took the time to show their appreciation is amazing, and it would have very much choked me up. If you don't understand that or disagree, I understand that as well, but this isn't the place for political discussions. Thank you to all the people who put this together, it's very touching and well received.

Yes, Thank you to all who fight for my freedom. Did the soldier even know it was for him? I didn't even see him acknowledge it to be for him. I don't think he had any idea!
I feel honored to have served this nation but feel same as you............ and know if my father, a career Navy officer, was alive, he would say same. Shame on them...............

being a army brat myself , my father being the military member, that and my family is from Ft.Bragg. My grandfather retired from the 82nd Airborne there...this made me beam inside :D
