All it will take is a chester saying they were sponsored by NordVPN and that site will almost sink like the Titanic. Unless they have certain things in place to immediately notify authorities when certain sites are accessed by these people. Kinda ruins the idea of anon. but yeah... I still like the concept.
I really really would like to you to do a contest, where you do a song in many different styles and then we try to guess which styles they were! I had this idea when listening to one of your videos in the other room, I started to guess what the style was that I was hearing. I hope you like my idea!! TL:DR Make a video without identifying the styles and let the viewers guess the styles!
Most Opera singers I know listen to both Classical Music and Metal - because Metal is one of the closest genres to Classical Music. Obviously I'm not talking about every type of Metal.
@@jannegrey593 I would add to that saying most metal heads like classical, the power and passion in both appeals. Personal favourite Classical, Carmina Burana, favourite metal Strapping Young Lad
@@KermitFrogThe From Blues onwards there is influence of Classical Music. Obviously in different quantities and quality. Example: Van Halen's "Eruption" is supposedly based on Paganini. But that is superficial compared to the influence of Bach - who is practically the source of all modern music, popular or classical. Not the only source, but most widespread.
I feel like these two are probably the genres with the most respect for the other out of all of them. Classical singers mostly understand how hard it is to do screams and growls, while metal singers often learn from classical singers.
All professional musicists give respect to other type of good music because they are able to recognize the value of that. Other which just talk bad, they are not even good to play an instrument
@Holden Mcgroine I am a bahcelor of music student. I am a baritone that can sing low E to high F#(above middle C) comfortably G# uncomfortably. I can force my voice to C above middle C if I am extremely careful. If you cannot easily and naturally sing E to B above middle C then you are probably a baritone. I have struggled with this stuff too. The categories are important for pop music too. Everyone falls into a category, you just need more training to understand your voice and how it works.
@Holden Mcgroine That's another place, where You will never find agreement between classical, and non-classical singers. For a classical singer Your statement is as silly, as saying "I can run faster then Usain Bolt" on the Internet. Yes, technically possible, but very very doubtful. It's due to the way, we classify our voices. It's a good result for a trained male vocalist (with at least 5-10 years of training) to get around 2,5-3 octaves, with a lot of technic involved. BUT we never say we can sing the note if it isn't sung perfectly, sounding almost exactly same as the other. So, all Your head voice, to the rubbish, every whispered, bubbled-out low note, same thing. That's why even though I can possibly reach notes from A1-A5, I'd never say my range is bigger than maybe, if I'm feeling genoerous to myself E2-A4, but realistically speaking G2-F4 (notes I can sing good enough for a stage performance). Also the note E1 that You stated You can sing is so low, it's never appeared in the classical scores. Even the lowest bassi profondi, sometimes called oktavists, that sing bass parts one octave lower, usually end up on F1-G1 as their lowest note.
@Holden Mcgroine Yeah, that's another thing. Biggest difference propably is the usage of the microphone. That's why classical rules don't apply that much to other types of music in case of the range. Although we can always classify someone's voice, looking at the tone, mics can change sound drastically, almost eliminating the need to "sing loud enough", when You use them properly, which is critical for an opera singer. Also the way someone sings changes his tone drastically. Ie Tobias Forge from Ghost is most of the time considered a tenor in musical forums, although based on the way he sings, I'd give my right arm, he's a baritone, and not even a high one. He just mostly uses his nasal cavity to create space for his voice, thus losing the support of his chest, and sounding "tenorish". Also, to break glass the sound doesn't really need to be that loud, it just needs the perfect frequency and a sound sustained long enough, perfectly on that pitch.
I'm amazed the cat is not FREAKING OUT over all the weird high notes! XD Any one of my cats would have literally flung himself at my face the second I even _attempted_ the first one, in an attempt to scrub this threat to all life off the face of the Earth. My fluffbutts are NOT soprano fans. At all.
Right - lets address the cat. Hypothesis #1 The cat is utterly desensitized from over exposure to screaming. Hypothesis #2 The cat is on drugs - probably diazepam. Hypothesis #3 The cat is deaf Hypothesis #4 The cat loves screaming and considers this normal Hypothesis #5 The cat itself screams Meow's and these people are nothing in comparison

Hypothesis #6 The cat doesn't give a fuck. They are perfect at that. My first ever, terrible, super loud band had a cat blissfully sleeping on an guitar amp during rehersals. We had a little game called "Wake up the cat" where we tried to be so loud that the animal would wake up and leave. Cat won every time. I was at a party of some 15-20 people drinking, yelling, music blasting... And a cat sleeping in the same room. A fridge door opens... The cat jumps instantly and runs to the kitchen.
Honestly seeing really good singers voices crack or they’re sharp on a note or somethings is pretty inspiring as a completely new singer. Seeing the pros mess up just reminds me that they’re human too and it is possible for me to reach that level.
Pay attention to how Malinda sings and how she reacts to him singing and what she says. There’s a huge difference between the two. He is definitely not hitting all the notes right.
i love how Malinda cant help but use her hands to control her musical notes or flow through them. also i love at 13:16 how she corrects him like such a musical teacher but then her excitement when he gets it shows its not about ego but about just the love of the music

Nightwish - Ghost Love Score, the part from: "Redeem me into childhood Show me myself without the shell Like the advent of May I'll be there when you say Time to never hold our love My fall will be for you" The main point mainly is the last line, specifically the way how Floor Jansen sung that part in the live with the extended scream.
@@littlegeek5159 Yepo, I was told that he doesn't perform it live due to how hard it was. It took him multiple attempts, be he nailed it once! Weird Al is an amazing musician and can rap really well. Funny how he's outlasted many of the musicians that he's covered, kind of like a memoir of the past?
Anthony and Malinda: Unexpected collab made in absolute heaven! It may not be a GTS or 20 Styles, but the both of you are amazingly talented, and you look like you had so much frun
I bet probably tons of people have said this, but I think you'd be perfect for Soundgarden if they ever auditioned for a new singer like Stone Temple Pilots did. You've got the voice for sure.
I don't think so. When bands get a new singer they usually want someone who DOESN'T sound like the previous one. Because that would just make them a mediocre imitation of themselves, would keep them blocked in the past and would pretty much be offensive for the old singer. That's why AiC got a guy that sounds nothing than Layne Staley, Queen got Adam Lambert that does not sound like Freddie Mercury, STP got the NPH lookalike ( don't remember the name sorry ) who sounds different than Scott Weiland, ... The only band who got a similar singer after one went away that comes to me now is AC/DC. Anthony is a phenomenal singer, but sounds very similar to Chris Cornell, in particular he has a similar technique to his in the higher register.
halohalo edlbrzar what? I never said that. I just said that if, for whatever reason, Soundgarden feel to get a new singer and start again, it would be probably someone that is nothing like Chris.
I am a licensed barber, And I obviously have to tell you that your hair is absolutely magnificent. You have helped me immensely with singing tips~ cheers
I wanna hear some low notes: I wanna hear either the "Corpus Christe" section of Type O Negative's "Christian Woman" or the "I hate the morning" section of "Haunted."
Deep Purple - Child in Time Deep Purple - Strange Kind of Woman (Made in Japan, vocal improv and 10-second screams at roughly the 8-minute mark) The Who - We Won't Get Fooled Again Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast
Myles just has an insane voice. And in 'Find The Real' near the end he hits a note that's extremely Chris Cornell. Underrated singer and guitarist for sure
4:37 As a bass, thanks to our amazing high school choir director's insistence on being spectacular at falsetto even if you only ever sing four low notes in any song, I completely feel your voice moving out of falsetto into that hard to mix spot in my throat. Thank you for vocal PTSD. Sounds amazing though.
The screams from Tool’s - Ticks and Leeches There is such a mix in his voice that makes the switch to scream obnoxiously hard if you’re even slightly out of his range
Cat: CHilling listening to them sing. My cat listening to me sing hiding in the bathroom terrified: Is he trying to kill me or is this a human mating thing?
When he was calling himself a tenor, it kind of bothered me bc I can tell he’s a high baritone like Melinda said (I should know, I am one too). I’m glad this video clarified that.
From what I've seen, he could hit it, it's within his range. The emotion behind it is another story all together. As for her, it's not even a question of course.
