Forgive me for asking an obvious question, but do you sleep on a horizontal bed? I'd periodically wake up with stomach acid in my lungs, but now with an adjustable bed frame, I sleep with the head elevated somewhat, and it hasn't been a problem since. There are also lifts that you can place under two of the bed legs.

Doctors love to give you "Possibilities" for things but never give you a straight answer, then in your case charge you money. On a side note; Have you looked into VA work? (Possibly a stupid question I know) I did some amateur voice acting a while ago and while it may not be as fun as singing, it can bring a little bit of money in. The reduced strain on your vocal cords might be something.

Wow...I also got covid the beginning of January and this cough has been sticking around to this very day just as you described (minus the sinus issues). I should also probably get checked up for pnemonia since the long covid symptoms should've been gone by now. Hope you get well soon!

Acid reflux plauges almost all of my close blood relatives, I've found not eating any processed foods or seed oils completely stops it within a week for most of them and for the rest of them low carb (keto/primal) is pretty much a guarantee to end it. You've probably already heard that simple advice but it's worth a shot if you're at wits end.

Holy crap, hon, what a rotten series of setbacks! You are seriously overdue for a change of luck. (COVID to pneumonia is going around, it seems. I'm being a full-time family caregiver for a relatively who had just that happen.) Take care of yourself, I'm sending you lots of auntly hugs.

My life has basically been on the exact same parallel. Hope you feel better! I've run the gamut with health, credit card debt, and car disasters the last year too so I can MAJORLY sympathize. I even had pneumonia last fall. 🥴✌️

Very saddening to hear that you're going through all of this, Brady. I understand that it must feel very overwhelming with so many things going wrong at the same time. On the topic of your voice, at least you've identified the root of the problem and made a plan to deal with it. Just trust the process and I'm sure you will eventually come out of it on the other side with more gratitude and joy for singing than you've ever felt before. Just like you, I know the feeling of having my favourite thing in the world taken away from me and it really makes you appreciate it on a whole other level when you get it back. You will get through this and come out a wiser man.

For voice stuff i recommend Ken Tamplin. He also has some videos on dealing with the voice + illness.
