Single Crochet Mesh Stitch | How to Crochet 

I love this stitch!! Si simple yet very pretty. I need "mindless" crochet stitches because of stitch/memory issues and this is perfect 😍 I put down a row of single crochet for the first row to give it a nice neat edge for the blanket 👍

Any suggestions or resources you can point me to on how to increase and decrease neatly with this stitch? I've been working on a sweater with this stitch but cant seem to get garment shaping down in this stitch pattern.

I was trying to make a blanket with barnet "make a blanket" roll of yarn using the basic mesh stitch. However, the hole it left was big & I didn't like it. This stitch did not make the hole from stitching into the chain one space & I'm continuing to make the blanket with this stitch instead. Thanks for the tutorial.

Question: Are you going into the top of the chain-1from the previous row?

Could this stitch be used in connection with a cluster stitch. Like I want to switch to this stitch in my blanket for the second color going from a cluster stitch. I hope that makes since.
