Day 2 of our epic 4 day adventure through the Kennedy Meadows OHV area! The 2021 Beta 500 RR-S does not disappoint! Stay tuned for more information on this bike and many more to come. See you all in Glamis!!
i rode trails very similar with all the rocks. it was a 12 hour day and I wore a hole in my underwear lol fun riding but its tough on your body and machine, I like a little bit of rock in my trail but all day long is a nut buster for me lol.
I do both as well. Didn’t know the dates were different in this area. All the folks hunting knew the area was popular for riding, didn’t seem to mind much.
I made the switch to single track last year and love it. At 44yrs young the recovery time begins to be a factor. To improve my technique I invested in a Beta 200 Evo trials bike. The machine only weighs 150lbs, makes it soo much easier to learn proper form and muscle memory. All of this transfers into my big bike and makes the riding days even better. As an added bonus my 12yr old son has even started using it around our property instead of his YZ85. Keep it up man, important thing is your making great memories and life long friends.
We're just outside of Oklahoma City on 3 acres. In reality we really only use the size of an average back yard to ride it. Even 30 minutes here and there help me to stay loose when I ride the ktm and it's a good little fix till my next ride.
Loved the video style! Really immerses you in YOUR experiences :D My critique, never talk ABOUT anyone when they're right next to you. You have wonderful compliments and instead of telling them to us, you should tell them to your friend :D Been looking at smaller wr250 and crf300, thought I'd check out a rider with a bigger bike and glad I'm looking at something smaller. Your riding looks incredible though, and hope I can grow to your level!
What a hard decision for me , I’m finally getting whatever bike I want brand new but can’t decide from 500exc or beta500 . I think the beta looks way better . But I have always wanted a ktm ! What do you think ?
The susp will soften up till 30 hours in or so. My 300RR is real good for now, soft like I like it for woods, where it was stiff like you mention at first.
Hi, good video, I have a ktm 790r also and I feel the same way as you, love it! Great on street and dirt. I was looking at the husqvarna fe 501s and beta 500rrs for more dirt oriented riding, I'm really split between the two. Anyway thanks for the video, looks like a great place to ride.
Hi mate. I like your video. I'm currently waiting for the phone call to come and pick up my new 23 480rr (I'm in Australia), so watching your video is just adding to my excitement. I ride lots of terrain similar to what you were riding and I noticed that there were no flameouts. Was that just in the video, or did you not experience any flameouts at all in that gnarly stuff? The CRF450X that my new 480 will be replacing would have been flaming out all over the place in terrain like that, particularly if I'm being a bit hesitant like you were in the vid. I'm hopeful that new bike day will be tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
@@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel Good video. On subject of mousse vs tubliss for the faster riding you'll be doing on the dual sport. You may want to check out the Lucoli tube set up. The mousse are good at lower speeds or for a race weekend at speed, but require a relube from time to time or they break down from heat. Tubliss is a good option, only requiring fresh sealant, pressure checks, and plugs are easier than trail side tube changes. The Lucoli is an interesting option that has popped up. I'll be running them in the dual sport this spring. Some of my enduro buddies are starting to use them and really liking them.
I am looking at getting a beta dual sport. Just not sure of the size yet. The 500 seems to be the one that sparked my interest first but the 390 is also a consideration. I have other bikes for the woods so I am not overly concerned with a 250 like feel in a bike. What do you think would be a more versatile dual sport 390 or 500
Depending on it’s intended use, I love the 500 motor. It has incredible pull and never seems to run out of it. In comparison to my 22 husky 300, the beta feels like a desert bike which is what I’m using it for at this point. I guess to answer your question, I’d consider the 390 if I’m using it as an all around bike.
LOL!! All trails lead to Jackass!! I plan on going this year when the snow melts. I have ridden all those trails on everything from my Honda 650R, KTM300 and my current 2012 Beta 520RS. I run a 13/48 and my bike is a carb. The last few times I was only good for 2 days of riding. Especially when you get over on Sherman Jeep and Schaffer trails.
Love this place and can’t wait to get back. Sounds like you’ve done years and years of riding up there. Further from camp you get the better the trails are for sure!
@@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel that's a bummer, any response from Beta about fixing it or does it not bother you enough to worry about it? Are you enjoying the bike overall?
