after leaving Shinagawa and Shin-Yokohama
4. 5. SHINKANSEN - HIKARI Super Express bound for Okayama
after leaving Tokyo and Shinagawa
6. Tohoku Shinkansen - YAMABIKO Super Express bound for Sendai
arriving at Sendai terminal
7. Hokkaido Shinkansen - HAYABUSA Super Express bound for Tokyo
after leaving Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto
final. SHINKANSEN - KODAMA Super Express bound for Tokyo
arriving at Tokyo terminal
P.S.
Non-reserved seats cars were changed from 14th, Mar. Now, passengers can ride on Car No.1-6 and No.14-16 without seat reservation on SHINKANSEN KODAMA Super Express trains.

I really missed this voice, lol! My first few days were frantic, trying to figure out reading train routes and queues. But on my 6th day, I can already understand the PA announcements, and I don't even speak Japanese at all! You just develop this instinct, then it goes away once your vacation ends. I really miss traveling in Japan :)

I’m listening to this with a tear in my eye. Spent 10 days in Japan just recently and it was the best experience of my life. Having stuff like this is to be able to reminisce is just lovely, thank you. My JR pass more than paid for itself.

Idk why but this brought tears to my eyes. The memories from my regular Japan travels came rushing back and made me realize a lot of things I took for granted before the whole world changed. I hope we can all go back to Japan again. Won’t give up hope!!

Thank you～! More Information: In-car announcements in Shinkansen trains are only used for bullet trains and some Limited Express service trains. Commuter trains, trams, underground trains, and other almost local trains have simplified announcements and little contents.

Just got back from a 1 month trip in Japan. I am already having major withdrawals, Japan is definitely a sensory overload with the sounds, lights, food, trains, everything, it’s going to be tough going to work in Monday 😢

Just came back from Japan for the first time and I miss this. The little jingle in the beginning kept bothering cause it sounded familiar and I finally realized it was Tokio’s Ambitious Japan song. Heard it back in 2003 and never realized it was for the Shinkansen.

Hoping the Announcements Used in Shinkansen Will Also Used in PNR-HSR When Initial 1000-1100km Phase 1 is Completed, With Chime from Tohoku Shinkansen Will be Used for North Line while Tokaido Shinkansen will be Used for South Line.

Damn I am listening this onboard a fast train to London, the background train sounds was too real that I was really confused at one point, had to take off my earphones 😂 Especially when in the toilet and cannot see anything outside, it gets super confusing😂

Oh, it's intentionally. Shin-Osaka and Kyoto is displayed on digital timetable of Tokaido Shinkansen (at Tokyo station). But In this video I do so due to space constraints.

TOKIOの"AMBITIOUS JAPAN!"です。 It is Japanese music group TOKIO's "AMBITIOUS JAPAN!" that was used for TV commercial of Tokaido Shinkansen in 2003.

Awesome video! I just came back from Japan and I missed this! One thing I did not understand is why after the pre-recorded announcement played the conductor needed to repeat the same thing over again. This happens all the time on local JR trains as well. Any reason to this?
