Hey, Ryan. Thanks for all you do. Tennis players on the ATP and WTA tours are always thanking their teams after wining. I was wondering if these days some of those team members are responsible for scouting upcoming opponents regarding strengths and weaknesses and helping to create a game plan to improve opportunities to win matches. I know there is now a lot of statistical info available on players down to forehand and backhand errors, where they favor serving to, and many other stats. There is also video of quite a few matches. Football teams, basketball teams, and baseball teams all scout other teams' strengths and weaknesses and plan to minimize opponents' strengths and to attack weaknesses. How often, if at all, is this used in pro tennis and is it feasible to use this as a tool to improve winning at the pro level? Should pro players with the monetary resources be using this strategic scouting approach? What do you think of the idea?
I use coach’s eye but it’s not available now. You can use OnForm and do the same thing. OnForm is an amazing app. Definitely get it to do stroke analysis.
