You are very kind….but I have been repeatedly mistreated and it took me years to get out…..now I trust very very few and feel very weak. It’s the truth. I run because I challenged myself and when I do that I force myself to get up. People and animals depend on me….I cannot get so weak that I begin to fail. I’m independent to a degree because some people I might have a hope to count on as a partner were content to let me do almost all the work of adulthood. Exhausting and lonely and overwhelming. Then I was left for a younger woman amidst a huge storm of lies. Pain of any kind drains you…as you know. You know how hard it is and you are the true badass….you didn’t bring your pain on yourself like I did….but you survived and thrived! I am very proud to know and your wife is amazing.

@@PicassoKatTreasures All of what you said makes you a badass. You stepped up to a challenge and continue to challenge yourself. Nobody deserves to be mistreated in a relationship and someone else’s moral failings and dishonesty are their problems imposed upon you. You stepped up and fought for those that depend upon you. You may have bent (feeling weak) but you didn’t break. THAT’s BADASS!

@@wgprescottYou are very kind. A day does not go by yet where I don’t feel like laying down and never getting up. Hopefully this will get less and less difficult. I have a lot to be thankful for…so the rest of the days are always good. I mean…..I live in one of the most beautiful places and I have three amazing kids….I am retired comfortably and have excellent friends like you. We really do often reap what we sow…..and I am no exception. I am lucky and I know it….I just have to get through the grieving process knowing I will be lied about and let it go. He tells people he got sick so I dumped him. Her left me to be with another woman….openly….when that failed he wanted to come back. When I said no…..the story became that he was gravely ill and didn’t know what he was doing. But they both knew what they were doing. I am no saint so I can’t judge….I just don’t want that unfair blame.
