Many of you have been saying that Estonia was not made in Finland and yes I know, and I knew back then too that Estonia was made in Germany. I did this video many years ago while I still was new to youtube. What I meant with "Made in Finland" was that this video was made in Finland. I actually wonder why I wrote that there but well, I was younger than now and new to youtube.

I remember I was 7 y.o. and just have started school on 1 September. Our class had minute of silence to honour the dead, but at that age no one really understood the scale of disaster. RIP from Latvia

My dad was a taxi driver in Stockholm the night M/S Estonia sank. He was driving a doctor that was in a hurry over to Estonia. My dad still doesn't know if the doctor followed the ship back to Sweden or stayed in Estonia. Also, my oldest brother was born the same night.

Every time I see a video like this I start to cry I cannot imagine how terrifying this moment was to those on board especially children if they were any how do explain or calm down the people you love and people you don’t know seeing people life fade away slowly 😭😭 but I’m happy some survived as well hope they lived rightfully after that making it count

I live quite close to hanko, where many of the rescued ended up at, I realy wondered that day, why there was so many helicopters in the air, and both the police and Military where speeding towards hanko, didnt take me long to get the info on what had happend.

Somehow it just feels like a worst tragedy than Titanic. 1/3 of the people survived the Titanic. Only 1/10 of the people survived the Estonia almost 90 years later. And that is so sad and so scary.

What's even more haunting is that there's footage of the ship inside before it sank. What makes it so haunting is that the people that you see in said videos having a good time are probably some of the few of the bodies that are still trapped in there.

I know that this video is old but she didn't sink like that, yes the front did broke off but the ship whas never upside down, it sank on the right side till it whas under the water and whas going down with the front first and land on her right side, the whole thing took a little more or less than an 1 hour.
