@@jaydeng2059 1 to 6, the damage in the 6th compartment wasn't realised until after the midnight conference. the Iceberg had opened up a small seem, just 2 feet into the coalbunker of BR-5, C6. starboard side.

Camodo when a plane (medium travel distance: 737 a320 etc) makes a water landing you can never open the back door because the centre of gravity is at the back so there will be more water. But you can open the front ones

@@seanmal93 No, the watertight compartments we're never designed for what happened to Titanic. It exceeded their job. They were to stay afloat with any 2 adjacent compartments flooded (exactly what happened in Camodo's video) they'd flood and the flooding would stabilize. They were designed for the front 4 to even be able to be breached without sinking... But the iceberg opened the front 5. So it was an unthinkable scenario at the time, she was just never designed to deal with that. But what she was designed for, she did perfectly well. The fact that it took 2 1/2 hours to sink is a testament to how long she fought to survive. Any other ship would have lost more lives and faster.

With the Titanic, the iceberg tore open the forepeak, number 1 and 2 hold, the mail room and boiler 6 and 5.

Btw to snap the ship the front compartment needs to flood so it flexes and snaps, I think you need to flood the first five compartments

It was the first 5 compartments, ending in that first boiler room. That pulled it down in the front and the water spilled over the water tight bulkheads and then spilled from one to the other all the way back .

how the bow landed at 8:38 is quite accurate to how the real Titanic landed and look liked on the seafloor except the funnels and bridge being gone due to the force of the water.

That staircase is actually part of the firemen’s passage and they used that for the lookouts to get to the crow’s nest on the foremast

The coal bunker fire didn't attribute anything to the sinking. Coal bunker fires were commonplace on steamships back in the day

The Titanic had a 250ft scrape on the starboard side of the bow just below the water line. The hole went across 5 of the 16 water tight compartments (it was designed to handle 4 flooding). The compartments were not topped off, so eventually they overflowed to the other compartments as well.

the Titanic struck the iceberg towards the forward boiler room with an approximate 14 meter square gash which steadily filled the boiler rooms the spilled over the watertight bulkheads(which had been able to be sealed in time) but as they didn't reach fully to A deck meant the water was able to spill over.

A the movie came out in ‘99 so there still wasn’t to much known yes they knew quite a bit but not everything and b they found this info out about the “gash” which was just plates that had buckled and popped their rivets which causes hundreds of gallons of water per second to rush in back in around 2012

Titanic was designed to float with any 2 adjacent watertight compartments filled, or specifically the front 4 could be filled. That's why those first couple of blows you dealt didn't sink her. :)

Titanic hit the first 5 compartments, which it could float with 4 of them filled but after the fifth one got filled, it started sinking because those were not sealed. Also the stress point of the ship wasn’t that high. It barely got to a 90’ degree angle went it sank. Also I think the video is awsome but is not s joke or fun story. Imagine the horror that those people felt while going into the bottom of the ocean with the ship in completely darkness.

That Titanic actually takes hours to sink on my computer. Mainly because my computer isn't a fantastic machine and it's very intensive. Also, the iceberg hit the Titanic in the forepeak, all three holds, and boiler room 6. (The forward five compartments) There's also some debate as to weather or not the coal bunker for Boiler room 5 was also hit.

The fourth stack on the back was not fake it was meant to exit the bad air throughout the ship and also vent out the first class smoking lounge also the extra exhaust fumes, it definitely smoked just not as much as the boiler stacks did

The iceberg hot the first forward portion 5 compartments. In theory she could have survived if 4 compartments where compromised. But at 5 the fate was sealed. If you would like to know more about the Titanic I can give you more info on it.

4:53 it filled up about 3-4 of the front boilers and it flooded the storage and you probably should’ve moved the hole up a little to get the most accurate sink that you would be able to get 12:07 it was the front one that was the fake one

hey CG i can answer your question at 4:30, see titanics compartments had a fail safe located inside of the watertight doors so they would automatically close in case of an emergence meaning that it would be impossible for those compartments to flood in the first few mins of the sinking.

The emergency inflatable escape slides on airplanes can also be used as life rafts for a water landing. If a plane has to land on water the back exits aren't used because water usually is over them.
