Korean Hapkido (esp Sinmoo Hapakido) has really impressed me. I'm just now 74 years old now. But I still practice everyday now retired and at home. I use my kick/punch bag & coat hanging on it to do joint locks, since I live alone. I practice almost like a "young man" and also a bo-staff (or six foot long wooden pole) my martial arts. Mine is originally from S. Korea and the Jidokwon style of Taekwon Do by then 7th Dan Master Kim Hyok Nae who made me "captain" of our class ... and no longer used in Korea as far as I know. I started in 1969 in Kunsan, South Korea when in the U.S. Air Force ... now to include Hapkido joint locks from RU-vid that I've really gotten good at doing. But my "fighting" "style" is my own evolved over time and modified from very high kicks to medium and low kicks w/ my methods that work in real life ... I even ask people to please hit, punch, or kick me for real if they can. Non-believers who think martial arts don't work are converted into believers ... hahah. I'm really grateful to you and other Hapkido masters/teachers for your postings. I'm an advocate, because joint locks etc are so very important when you don't want to knock out, or worse, an opponent or attacker.
