Well my friend.. I did it. I bought the Sinn silicone strap from watch buys in the USA. I paid $300 USD and fingers crossed, that it would work with my Damasko DS30. It came just now and WOW. It does! It is a PERFECT fit. I mean, PERFECT. AND>.... it fits my Marathon GSAR Artic!!! Unreal. It fits two of my most worn watches. So, this was a bargin for me in the end. I could not be more happy. All thanks to you :-) Merry Christmas!
Thank you for your informative video! It was definitely unnerving beforehand when I read that you have to irrevocably cut parts of the band off. We're literally slicing off hundred dollar bills here! Daunting task but I got through it and the silicone feels incredibly buttery on my wrist. I appreciate the key detail where you said to 'err on the side of caution' and be conservative because I probably would have cut off too much.
I literally ordered a blue silicone strap from Sinn for my 206 ARKTIS just 40 minutes ago, and this video is what pops up when I open YT.. This is something I was not looking forward to, so a big thank you! I can confidently move onwards! :P
@@ClickSpringReview It went really well. Had a hard time attaching the band to the watch, but otherwise smooth. :) Your video helped a lot! Watched it one more time to be safe and sure..
I was putting of to be fair lol , but your right about the quality I'm wearing a 556 today on a silicone strap I got from Sinn 11 years a go and it still feels like new today , were as some dry up and crack with age
I messed up one with the larger clasp, and ended up having to bin it. Took off to many bits too quickly. Just ordered another one for round 2. Wish me luck.
Watched the whole vid with my eyes closed, wasn't as tough as i expected after all... 😎😜 Like your vids, seen some from time to time. Be well, enjoy whatever (sin(n)...!!!) you love mate, cheers.
I want to ask you.. what do you think the chances are that we might see a smaller version of the UX? Basically that watch the same as the U50 in terms of size?
That strap is now showing on the Sinn website for the non limited 144 models, but I've no idea how readily available it is. I have a handle that fits a Stanley blade perpendicular to the blade, with the whole blade showing (it's a scraping tool) and I've used it on silicone straps as you can make one single straight cut by pressing down.
I know the type you mean and yeah that sounds prefect for the job , Interesting they are now making it for the standard I think it give it a more modern look Antony
@@ClickSpringReview I had a look because I like the integration with the case where it flows from the case lines, but I might not buy the anniversary edition as it's quite pricy and its going to be a while before I buy another watch. I keep looking at it though...
