Thank you for your honest assessment of Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God , Jonathan Edwards said nothing in his sermon that cannot be backed up by scripture. It's sad so many today try to argue his message was overboard and too frightening to preach. Again, thank you so much.
This is definitely describing and helping with attaining a healthy“Fear of God”….Fear of Hell …understanding we are in a fallen state with the fallen angels destined for Hell. My healthy fear of God has kept me from following the sins the world has to offer.
Not sure if I heard in the sermon to be Baptiste. I think that the mention was to “change” accept God now and avoid hell, my words. A masterpiece of sermons.
However, a true convert would want to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ through baptism. No one should tell them this but the Holy Spirit.
This is really cool. You review literature and do a great job. This sermon is really offensive to many. People don't want to hear that God is against them and calls their acts wicked. Yet you review it at face value. I'm impressed with your open mindedness. I would have thought this sermon was a load of trash, before I was a Christian. My review would have been "this garbage person thinks he is better than everyone." But now i love the Lord and think this sermon speaks the truth. And i love him because he has turned this wrath away from me. Are you a christian?
Well you have to accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior and strive to be like him more and more everyday. That doesn't mean that you're not going to send against god. However, you have to live a life of living repentance and living faith. That basically means that you have to exercise your living faith and living repentance on a daily basis. King David was a man after God's own heart. He send a lot against God. However, he always had a heart of living repentance and living Faith to always fall into his knees and give up on his sins and turns towards God.
@@stanleystrose amen, amen. Praise the Lord! What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Romans 6:1-4 I was once a wicked, wicked sinner who loved my sin. I'm still a sinner but i don't love it anymore, i love the Lord. Because he has given me a new heart, one that is dead to sin and alive to God. So because I'm dead to sin, i live a life of repentance and continuously looking to Jesus. He grows me every day to act more and more like him. Isn't the gospel wonderful! It doesn't just save us from hell, but God gives us eternal life with him, in joyfulness!
@@sammmmmmmymmmymymydf that's the gospel right there brother. That's the whole truth. The only thing that scares me is that a lot of churches today are asking people to accept Jesus Christ however no one's taking the time to teach them and guide them towards a life of living repentance and looking towards Jesus Christ
