->Mr. Lordinio Vergara on Street Dancing: -emphasized rule #3 which is about the "progressive movement" of the parade; -if we are to strictly follow the rules, everybody will be deducted 5 points; -but we(the judges) decided to just leave that rule; -cited the management outside; -suggested a "reorientation" to choreographers -taken for granted ang Street Dancing na 1 million pesos din ang premyo... It was frustrating; -committee assigned 1 roaming judge to do 3 rounds of close inspection and scrutiny. What we found out was frustrating... 9:30, 11:30, 1pm down - may mga pasaway, may mga naglalakad; -the choreographers must know what to do outside; -the organizers, too, must do something about it. Yung iba, ang haba-haba ng stretch at may mga naaaberya. -Carcar won because they are consistent -Yung veneration kay Santo Niño nandun talaga(same comment ni Mr. Larry Gabao) -unanimous kami sa desisyon namin na Carcar ang Champion.

Kinsa may tikalon, bisag asa mi tibuok kalibutan, mga bisaya or cebuano man tikalon, mahilig mag grupo, ayaw pa apil sa ubang lugar, gusto nila sila lang na bisaya mag grupo.. Sino mayabang? *Palibhasa bulok ang dinagyang sa kalsada sinasayaw salang budget for stage? hahaha kakaumay talaga basta galing iloilo walang budget mang aaway pa oa niyong ilonggong pisot na kayo kawawa naman mas known pa ang Sinulog kaysa sa dinagyang na puro uling lang ang kaya hahaha ilonggong pisot hilas murag unsang festival hahaha kaluod naman lang sa ilonggo suyaon sa Sinulog. Trust The Vision pangit kaya nung dinagyang. Pangit pa yung venue. Nung nanood kami nasayang lng oras namin.napaka boring walang bago.. Lahat ng gimik sa dinagyang paulit ulit lng, wala akong nakitang bagong sayaw at choreography. Infact nakakaumay ang dinagyang at isa pa pangit yung venue mga bisita di nakakapanuod ng maayos. Di tulad sa Cebu.

Dont conpare dinagyang to Sinulog based category. Compare it to the champion of Free interpretation.

the dance is really just more on formations and does not involve much on body movement, it is not really exciting nor energizing to watch compared to Dinagyang which is more focused on body movements if you get what I mean. Also, the costumes are so westernized which reflects the colonialization of the PH, I’d rather prefer watching more of ethnic, as it is more true to the nature of the early Filipinos, which I prefer really. The venue does not really matter anymore if what is performing is dead boring.

@@theboreddoggo311 also, if you know the sinulog dance, you can tell that what those dancers were dancing were exactly what was required of them based on the criteria for judging. They are following a standard. And if you feel that it lacks a lot of things based on your preference, then go ahead and patronize your own without bringing down other festivals. :) You might want to check the Sinulog Free interpretation category Champion Tribu Malipayon if you have time.

Kami mga Sugbuanon Hilom ra kaau ming ni tan aw dinhi sa internet sa sayaw sa Sinulog nya nikalit lang mog comment diha mga himantayon nga ilonggo... kamo palang mag judge sa Dinagyang for sure walay ma daog tungod sa inyong kahimantayon...

Take note on the drscription that this is a repeat performance. A day after the grand parade. What they are dancing are for the streets and yes some did not make it on the dance

It's not about the reapeat performance...it's really that there is something much better ...I agree Alan Pedro...although I didn't compete ..but I am a Dancer here in Karatong Festival...Abuyog...and Tacloban... Even if our steps are a little much and more harder compare to them we still thrive and consistent to win the Street...and yet we made it... What I'm pointing out is I hope they still chose what's way more entertaining... Not just how it was made...but how likely it was done... But still it was a Great performance...I know how they sacrifice so much just to give people a better views...and as expected... They won.... Congratulations!

@@twelvegr I actually know what you feel. I am a Carcaranon by the way. But obviously, the system in sinulog is different. You may think FI contingents deserve to win because they're fast paced, upbeat and unique but it puts Sinulog based to a disadvantage. So my guess is that they are judging the contingenta based on a specific set of rules or guidelines that would bridge the gap between the two categories The judges are looking for something we don't really know. We can't say the judges are biased because the city of Carcar did not win the streetdancing competition last year even if some of the judges this year were also judges last year. Maybe they are not just looking for the entertainment factor. Nevertheless, we don't really know the entire idea of what they're looking for.
