Floyd Westerman was a very kind and active Dakota Sioux Chief always sharing messages of tribal wisdom and warning about the changes to come. I met him in 1992 while volunteering at the Uranium Hearing Congress in Salzburg, Austria.
One of my special assignments was to care during the week of the hearings for this very dear and well known Indian of the Dakota (Sioux Tribe) Nation in California, who called himself Floyd Red Crow Westerman.
This tribal message was for America, but is indeed for all of humanity!
I love his wise messages and I experience how mega important they are for humanity now, today! Big changes are upon us and more are on the way.
he was also a singer/songwriter, here lyrics he sung in Salzburg:
"And I told them not to dig for uranium, for if they did, the children would die. They didn't listen, they didn't listen, they didn't listen to me.
And I told them if the children die, there would be no keepers of the land. They didn't listen.
And I told them if they destroy the sky, machines would come and soon destroy the land. They didn't listen . . .
And I told them if they destroy the land, man would have to move into the sea. They didn't listen . . .
And I told them if they destroy the sea -- they didn't listen . . . "
