Great role model. Educated, informed, willing to express unpopular opinions, while facing intense criticism.

Dr Siouxsie Wiles sent me here! So glad you were able to redirect your film project to cover this wonderful woman & the incredible work she has done/continues to do to help ordinary citizens understand & cope with the pandemic - most particularly in the early stages when so little was known. It was so reassuring to have an ACTUAL SCIENTIST in the relevant field, with such great communication skills, to explain things simply & with authority. Aotearoa is forever in her debt & history will remember her much more kindly than the gutter journalism that tries to harm her reputation, and for what purpose?? Cheap clicks on their website? Or to undermine her credibility so that if things get worse people won't trust her the same & maybe die from a preventable disease? (which is rabid right wing messaging BTW!) Thank you to Loading Docs for making these essential documentaries - worth a million times the $$ it costs to record history & capture a heroine in action. Certainly worth more than subscribing to gutter journalism! (& incidentally - how did these articles get by the editors???)

I’m so angry to read in the Herald that she was subjected to so much online abuse because she’s a female, because of her size, because of her hair colour etc. Siouxsie I know it was hard to put yourself in the public eye, but you are a great role model. You shouldn’t have to look a particular way to be in the public eye. Good on you, stay strong.

What a fantastic message she is sending to out, especially to younger ones who are overwhelmed by the perfect (edited - mind you) images that constantly bombard them. Her message is what is important not her image. We should be rewarding people who are intelligent and informative, not those who can play rugby or can act in a movie. Anyway... I love those who dare to be different from the acceptable norm. All strength to her.
