I remember I once saw a BBC documentary about the history of tea, and Matt (when he still doing Dr. Who) was invited in the documentary because he’s a famous tea lover. Looks like he really is a teatime frantic
I don't think it's hate but it's an acquired taste, a rather perfumed taste. It's not what people consider real tea, more a specialist or occasional tea. To me the bergamot flavour of Earl Grey masks the subtle flavour of tea. I can't drink that taste all day long, but occasionally it's nice.
Brandon Hernandez OMG me too. I don’t know why...maybe their intimacy. The way they talk that show us that they are more than just colleges on-screen, you know?!
They're great actors and it seems they're really nice people. I have to say The Crown is not at all the same without them. I love the firsts two seasons but without them I do not really like the series as much as I did..... I's a pitty because it was a great series at the begining
So where seeing her as herself.. I find myself thinking..”It’s the queen!!” But she’s just an ordinary person. She does an amazing job as Elizabeth I think that’s why it’s so weird to see her smiling like a normal person! Lol
OxfyMags According to historical records; high class society pour tea first, where as the less fortunate pour milk first for they drank in clay cups which tend to break under high heat (read it somewhere a long time ago not sure of its validity)
+Safiye Sultan Yes, I second that. Pouring in milk first was likely born out of necessity not style. Then, it became habits and 'traditions' for some --- not ideal for brewing tea, though.
Scientific research indicates that putting in the milk first is the best approach when using a tea bag, as people tend to add boiling water to a cup and the optimal brewing temperature for tea is 85 degrees (hence the milk lowers the temperature slightly). If you add boiling water to a teapot, then you are simply ruining the tea.
Couple of hours between tea, for sure! Early Grey! In a mug! Tea first! Teabag for the days when I need it in my thermos for taking to work (time saver) but loose leaf at home after work/dinner when I have time to properly enjoy it!
I've just completed season 2 and started with season 3 first episode. I must say I don't feel like continuing watching mainly because the queen and her husband has replaced. Those roles best suited Claire and Matt no doubt. I'm not gonna continue watching The Queen. :(
lolTaaa I felt the exact same way, I wasn't warned at all and was aghast that they all vanished all of a sudden, down to the Queen's aids. So I agree it is a brutal rupture of affection and I found myself missing them, and had also considered abandoning the show; but the emerging intriguing stories of British history and the prospect of Diana coming in kept me watching. Eventually I got used to the new Queen who also plays rather well. It took me more time to adjust to her husband who is more reserved than the previous Philip who was more relaxed and natural, and even longer time to adjust to the new Margaret as the saga of the first one with Peter Townsend created a bond between viewers and her that cannot easily be transferred to the second character. But we still come to take her as a new person with her own set of problems. Enjoy the show!
Fuck. Here I was thinking of Matt Smith as a decent human being and there he goes knocking Early Grey. There's noting good left in the world, is there?
