Come with me and @expatamerican3234 to Moscow for a cheeky pint in a quaint English pub and find out how English pubs in Moscow stack up against their counterparts in Foggy Albion.
I lived in Dublin and London for quite a while before coming back to Moscow. What struck me in this episode was that people were no longer smiling in that pub in London. Another thing - prices. I remember the time when a pint of beer in Dublin was around 1.5 Irish punt. I'm probably too old))) Anyway, welcome to Moscow from your subscriber #52 :)
Actually, I noticed that the minute I touched down in the UK, when I came out of the Airport, the people look fed up, almost drained, the nice upbeat chirpy energy that I used to know when walking into a pub isn't there any longer, I spent a lot of time in Wolverhampton, one thing I would say is that the pubs are emptier, people seem more distant in general.
Thats all youve noticed 🤣🤣🤣? London is the biggest dump everytime ive been there the only thing that reminds me its not Africa or south America is the accent. Hell on fucking earth!!
Я с удовольствием посмотрела твоё видео и подписалась на этот канал! И как женщина, хочу отметить, что в Москве ты стал лучше выглядеть: вот что русская православная земля с британцами делает 😄
Thank you very much! The quality of food here is far more natural, it's far better than the fake stuff that we get that's been doused in 1000 different chemicals, just being here improves ones health!
Beef up your effort and keep up the good work that one day bridges the gap created by delusional legacy media of the West and the East about Russia and its leadership circles.
Thank you very much, that is my hope anyway, even if I can make a small change, changes were made, lets see where it goes, hopefully we can bridge that gap, let's do it!
More pubs please!! I’m Russian that never been to Russia but I’m keeping the dream alive thnx to people such as you ! Blessings to you and your loved ones!!
@@UngluedBrit There was once a great Irish pub on Znamenka str. (Arbat) where my friend Slava performed with his band, but unfortunately that old house was pulled down and that pub closed.
Очень приятный британец. Я преподаю английскую литературу с 1990 г. и очень сожалею, что отношения Британии к России стали хуже, даже несмотря на то, что идеологические препятствия исчезли.A very pleasant Britisher. I have been teaching English literature since 1990 and I am very sorry that Britain's attitude towards Russia has become worse, even though ideological obstacles have disappeared.
Hopefully it changes, I also think that this is a sad development and I hope that it changes, we need to break many decades of hatred between nations, now is the right time to do that with the ability to just talk to a camera and send it out to millions of people, I think that we have the ability to do that, many peoples minds are being changed and this is good.
@@vladimirkravchenko6399 Thank you, though as I've watched over the years in the UK, many politicians begin with good intentions, but when it becomes a profitable career, certain people approach them and attempt to bend and twist their moral fortitude, for those who remain true to their convictions and philosophy usually find themselves winding up in some scandal in one way or another on the front of a British news paper, it's not for the faint hearted to take on such a task in the UK, if you're not willing to bend then you will bare a heavy cross.
We stayed at one bar. We had two in the John Bull Pub. Two as we are aficionados and the second was a confirmation pint. We said: Hmmm, this is good The second was the seal of approval ✅
Thank you very much! I would just like to confirm that I have made two new videos on my channel, one that allows subtitles and the other in which explains why everyone needs to download "Yandex Browser" - As if you do, Yandex Browser will automatically translate my voice to Russian and you can listen to me with Dubbing, it's amazing, don't even need subtitles these days thanks to Yandex! :)
It's the tax... VAT (20 percent). Alcohol duty rate. (variable, percentage based tax). Commercial Premises taxes and licensing (Of which there are a lot, of which have put pubs out of business in recent years). These are the main variables, the UK is a Cash Cow for tax, the taxes are predicted to go up too. Hence why many Brits who are Law abiding, tax paying, good people are finding greener pastures elsewhere.
@@expatamerican3234 meaning something like "to be among the first ones in something" - for example, to subscribe to a certain englishman youtuber - and to brag about it later. "i'm an old one here!" runglish slang is unforgiving.
@@expatamerican3234 The above commentator is right. It's a meme and a slang expression. From the word old. In this case, it denotes members of a community who have been in it longer than the majority.
I know it is, though for English Searches I do prefer Google, though I use every single other Yandex Service in the book, from Music to disk to maps to market.
