Sir Edmund Hillary Explorer 2023 | Kaikoura to Christchurch 

On the 16th of April 2023, Steam Incorporated's Da1431 was put at the head of the Sir Edmund Hillary Explorer from Kaikoura and South to Christchurch. Ab608 'Passchendaele' was also in tow in light steam to Waipara, to be stored while the tour continues.
