It’s a horrible disease. My mother had it for the last 8+ yrs of life and died last yr from it. For the last 6 yrs she had forgotten most everything, even who I was. I had to deal with it all in all aspects of the disease. As an only child I had very little help in what came my way, financially, physically, emotionally, the disease took her life away and nearly destroyed me as well. Basically I was trapped in a living hell! What Mr Stewart is doing is very noble and I wish him and his efforts nothing but the best in trying to reign in this horrible disease that can strike any of us in an insidiously sneaky way with no known cause or cure. God bless him and his wife.
I lost my mom, her sister and her brother in 7 terrible months in 2015. All to dementia. I'm one of 4 lads and my mom didn't know any of us in the end. I cant explain how that feels.
