I was there! A great evening and a great entertainer. When I met Ken and Anne after the show he gave me a present for my partner, who was unwell. Sir Ken is greatly missed. RIP
Count the laughs per minute. No other comedian came near him. Quick, clean, funny, not attacking anyone or the audience. RIP Sir Ken Dodd. Unique, unequaled, , never to be repeated.

Saw him at The Embassy, Skegness - about 1988. He took time to autograph a Doctor Who book for me - and chatted for a good 20 minutes in his dressing room.
The likes off which you will never see again.. Today 2022.. smut, blue, dont get, etc, etc, crude. unfunny, dont know how to tell a joke... RIP Masters off comedy..
That term national treasure is so lame isn't it lol ..but yeah i don't understand why someone who already has a lot of money would want to avoid paying any taxes ..i mean taxes go to people who need the money - he didn't! still - we all make mistakes i guess - RIP Ken
+scottishterrier100 my point was quite obvious: if you are considered a "national treasure" (define the term as you will) then you should pay tax in the country that you supposedly love rather than pay as little tax as possible regardless if it is within the law.I would suggest it's even more imperative if you are rich in the first place.Tax is a moral duty - it's a declining view I appreciate in a world where everyone is out for themselves.
+scottishterrier100 What have I achieved in my life you ask? Well I can reply to people here using sentences which are grammatically correct - you appear to be unable to even use full stops! What kind of school did you go to?
