In my opinion the best english golfer ever , total gentleman, he was kind enough to give me a putting lesson with the thumb drill , thank you Sir Nick 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I'm watching this in December 2020, a day after the golfing world lost Peter Alliss. I spent my junior life copying Sir Nick. I became a qualified PGA professional in 1996 and recall the Masters. Sir Nick and Peter Alliss and the magic memories. Thank you.

I was a Marshall at the WGC in SF in 2005. I recall sharing a donut and a coffee one early morning with Nick. What a great guy to chat with. A true gentleman.

He's been my idol since I was 10. I had the same clubs, same pringle clothes. I also now I'm realizing that I had the single minded attitude. I only knew golf. But it got to me at 22yo. I was a 2 handicap and couldn't do it anymore. You need support around you to succeed. I had none. What a legend. Thankyou Sir Nick Faldo.

Amazing that after being retired for so long he can still hit his irons almost right on the money. There are so many more stats being used by the pros compared to Faldo’s day, but he still shows the old school can work. Equipment changes have made even average PGA players better.

It’s great hearing those guys talking about club selection. Faldo was a master with a 2 iron and his contemporary, Sandy Lyle was a genius with a 1 iron!! Who these days has those clubs in their bag?

An inspirational legend along with Seve…my heroes of golf. I don’t play anymore but if I did, I’d just think of them and and enjoy it no matter what, well until I ended up in the lake 😂

Always liked Nick Faldo. He was my hero. Watching him encouraged me to work on my game. Which when you have modular vision is not easy. I would love to have a pint with him.

Great video, it gives a very good insight into Nick Faldo the person. Nick was a dedicated golfer that did what he had to do to win. It's fantastic that he is passing his knowledge on to junior golfers.

It took a lot to not mention David Leadbetter who revamped his swing which he also did with Nick Price! A huge impact on Faldo but not mentioned

When Nick decided to change his swing in 1984, other players thought he was crazy for the simple reason, why change up a swing that's made you a successful player, a golf swing that's won you a number of European tour events and made you a Ryder Cup player? Well, 3 Masters and 3 Open wins later, he obviously proved them wrong. Who else would've had the courage to do that? Despite winning the 1987 Open, Faldo was criticized by the British press for playing it safe, for shooting par golf in the 3rd and 4th rounds. Idiots. You can never please everyone.

Misunderstood man. Always thought he was larger than life myself and loved his game and professionalism. I choose to believe he’s a really wonderful man but was like Hogan in that he was extremely focused while playing.

Sir Nick.... I'm just a man. A dude that has found his true calling in life.......... At 56 I'm a dude that has found This true calling in life...... Golf being one of my main passions within this life of mine. I just started on RU-vid 5 weeks ago to express all of these various .... Talents ..... as all of my friends along my life called them... And then also by God..... Who put me through the ringer to Finally drill into my hammerhead... That yes you do have talents and you are fine to go ahead and accept them without having to feel like you are arrogant or cocky. He said...... That it's time Grant. It's time to take all these talents i've instilled into you ( again Nick.... golf included )..... and put them to good use. Simply put Sir Nick....... To extend Goodwill to the world. Sounds rather lofty huh? ( a la Chi Chi Rodriguezusque flop shot )....... Well.... I don't think so at all. Not at all. No. i KNOW it's not lofty ( more like a Tiger stinger......2 feet above the fairway..... (yet straight down the middle... as your ole Pebble Pal..... Bing Crosby would say....... ( Aye? ) ;) ). I'm already extending Goodwill. And I'm finding people on here are digging it. It's a good feeling Nick. But I'm just starting (and having one helluva jivin ass good time while I'm at it). Please take a look at my stuff ( but only if you choose so )..... If you look at me at........ Grant_-Chester .... on RU-vid.......... Well......... You're looking at me All that said........ Anything to push me along.... so to speak ........ would be kindly appreciated. I am one of the many who watches you commentate.... and analyze ..... on this amazing thing called golf. And to watch you Sir (of course without blowing too much smoke up your skirt).... is a true pleasure. Thank you Nick. :) Grant Chester

Every night after school, i would sneak onto the course and practice. Crawling around in bushes, finding balls, was always a thrill, like finding cash. My legs were always scratched, a price worth paying. I wonder what may have been if i had made better decisions.

Two lads dream. That one day they would be champions. Both play well. One of them obtains a hope that he’ll win the open. His hope eventually turns into a belief. And he wins it 3 times. His dream came true. But the other guy doesn’t realise his dream. Why. He couldn’t believe. And because he couldn’t believe, it didn’t come true. But because there are those who cannot believe in God it doesn’t mean God isn’t true. God is true.

How come the richest country in the world has around 50 million people going to food banks?
@wolfiemcwolf6617
@wolfiemcwolf6617 2 года назад
I doubt those statistics. America only has a population of 300 million. That would mean 1 in 6 are starving. I don't believe that. Also the U.S.A is not the richest country in the world. I think it just squeezed in at number 9 with Brunei soon to take that spot.
