Maybe the descriptions are being updated already but Sire should push that, as every product description I've seen on boutiques so far don't mention that at all, yet there is a push/pull switch indeed :)

correct! and with possibility to give it more low-end than the Stingray with the Z7 model blending the humbucker with the single coil pickup! (the sound with single coil pickup only is in my opinion terrible and distorced!)
Finally a demo of the awesome new Sire basses! I can't wait to get my hands on them. They look and sound awesome, and at that price, I'm sure they will be a massive success! Really nice take on the StingRay/Lakland formula. The H/S Music Mans were variants of the StingRay and Sterling basses, but they basically had a single StingRay/Sterling pickup coil in the neck. The Sabre basses had a humbucker in the neck, but on the later ones (EB era and the reissue from a couple of years ago) it was closer to Fender specs with pairs of smaller magnets per coil and string, like Fender pickups.
If they wait a bit they can even compare it to Sterling's response to this ( I presume it is ). They released a 300 dollars passive Ray in South Korea roughly a month ago, I presume this will hit the global market in the next months.

Thank you for posting clips of this bass! I preordered on months ago and just found out today it will be arriving in about 2 weeks so it is great to hear what it will sound like since there have only been a few videos posted of them.

Hello, on the Sabre bass it was 2 double coils humbuckers PU. On the Stingray, some years ago they made some HH and HS Stingrays... The HS one was a combination of a classic MM double coil humbucker and the single coil version, that one was almost the same as your Z7 5 strings ;-) Great review, as always. It's so awesome finally having you showing those and funny that you missed the passive/active 😂 For that, I think Sterling's " counter offensive " with their more affordable, passive only stingray, is cool. Healthy competition right there. I miss the roasted maple on Sire's more affordable options on all their new lineups though. You two make a perfect duo btw 😁
Yo! I've been waiting to see Andertons do a video on this bass for a while. I've been eyeing the natural wood one for months. Great video and sound guys
MAN I'd really like the burgundy model with the roasted maple neck. Probably going to hold out until next year to see if they release that as an option.

Great demo, the lack of any has been maddening, seriously wtf. Anyway, great sampling of the tones. Why the hell didn't they just make all the colors available for both Z3 and Z7. I want the Z7, but I also want the Sparkle Black. First world problems!
OMG….🤟😎😲 I really miss my old American made SUB MusicMan…. Heck, think I really like the idea of these Z Basses…. Could really go for one of these. Could I be tempted by a 5 string version? Not sure. Have dipped my toe in the water of 5 string a few times over the years and never really been converted to 5 as a permanent option. Some nice colour options. Cici is exactly the person I wanted an opinion on these basses on so cheers! are the headstocks smaller than the average fender one? I was really upset they had to change them as full size fender bass headstocks are absurdly big and bang on everything
They sound great and the prices are awesome, but the pickup dont have that music man sizzle, but i love the natural and black sparkle how bought you, like if you agree with me !! 8/10 my rate
When are you guys going to have Kyle Kim on? I've seen him do interviews on other channels and he's got a super interesting story; he'll tell you basically anything you want to know and seems to be just a "regular guy" sort of person who basically just wanted something that wasn't there so he made it. ;-)

Sire hit ANOTHER GRAND SLAM WITH THE Z3 AND Z7!!!!! If I hadn't gotten a great deal on a Music Man StingRay 5 H Special, I would have held out for a Z75!!! GREAT DEMOS!!!
I really wish they'd expand their short-scale options beyond the PJ configurations. I'd snap up a short Jazz (or Z with the HS configuration) in a heartbeat.
Is the string spacing wider than stingray 5? I kinda find it difficult to play on stingray 5 due to the narrow spacing of 17mm. I really do hope that the z series would have 18mm......
Shame they had to change the headstock layout on the 4 from 3+1 to boring inline 4. But I'd like a 5 anyway ;-) As soon as it's possible (both in terms of availability and my finances), I'm getting the sparkly black Z3 5er.
Great review, thanks! I'm thinking about buying a Sire 5-string bass guitar, but haven't decided which model yet. Question: in the video the Z7 has a dark, chocolate-colored headstock, but I couldn't find that color on the manufacturer's website. Is this some kind of custom model?
How did you not do a slap tone segment? Too much talking and not enough about the basses. The z5 sounded distorted most of the time. Not a great review
The 'Music Man' was Leo Fender. Ernie Ball had nothing to do with designing the Stingray- they just bought the company. What's left of the guitar and bass side (the amps were done by Tom Walker) of Music Man is G&L.
Can somebody tell why the 5 string basses have a different color headstock vs the one we see on the video? Also, it seems that the bottom wing seems more round in the pictures. Is the 5 string bass in the video a demo/research model perhaps?
I have a Rickenbacker with a lacquered neck that I like. But I have another with a natural wenge neck with an ebony fretboard, all unfinished that is fantastic. ( it’s a custom neck I ordered from Warmoth) But the bass you have in your hands is always the best bass😁
the reason why the 4 string Z3 is heavier than that 5 strings Z7 is because the first one has a mahogany body but that Z7 (be careful: natural finish only!) has swamp ash (not ash like he said in the video) body
@@Kutamitasa I think that they wanted to make the Z7 body lighter than Z3, also in "normal" models with normal finish...alder wood is lighter than mahogany
