Chicago siren isn't broken, it's designed to make that sound. The siren tone is: Alternate/Alternative Wail. I don't know about the model.

I, myself am Bulgarian. I remember the alarm. There was an attack that had really happened on the eastern coast. (Where I lived) 32 were killed. The news made sure for none of the details to come out. I was only 5 at the time. My parents told me to stand up at home during the sirens for some reason. I actually got scared when I had heard the alarm. Happy 2021 btw.

I live in the midwest where tornadoes are common so the sirens are tested every month. When I lived in Linn County, you could hear them the first Wednesday of the month at 8am. I live in Johnson County now so they go off the same day but at 10am.

9:53, the siren in New Jersey used to be a very different in 2020 and back. Early 2021 the siren changed to this one, as for me the other one was somehow better because it was less scary.......
