Disconnecting XM radio is a scam! First offer: $99.99 a year - Said no. Second offer: $49.99 a year - Not for all channels or Howard Stern Third offer: 27.99 5 months Fourth offer: 1 month free.
3 years after this video...its 100 times worse and you ain't stopping it. God help those that have a minute program for their phone or worse if your stupid enough to use a mobile network with metadata eating you alive for data charges you don't even use or want.!!🤡🐑
@@Joeteck gotta share. Xfinity mobile so pissed at us as I have my wife's and my phone on there network. Here's what pisses them off. Neither of us use our phones for anything but calls and texting. Period. Don't need, want or use them for anything else period. I have my OWN Wi-Fi network with my own router at home. Passing right through Xfinity with using any of their applications to "manage" all my devices in my home. In my Android based phones, I turn off all mobile data selections with no exceptions. My last bill, for 3 phones, including taxes and fees was $16.64 for one month. No BS, if you just want a phone to do just what you should be having it for....here ya go.🕵🤔😇🙏🖖✌😍😘🦅🦅
It's called a customer retention team, When you say cancel customers get transferred to "cancellation department". This is a team of battle hardened call centre staff who's job it is to retain the customer from leaving . The customer has the power here and can receive freebies and huge discounts of your service . The more the retention person gives away, the less points the retention person will get towards their set performance target . I used to work for a budget mobile phone company that had major network issues and plenty of pissed off customers. I then noticed that every company has a retentions team . Electricity , Mobile , Internet, pay tv , Credit card etc etc . If you're not in a contract , you can call and say " I'm not happy ,I'm gonna cancel ya pricks" you will get wicked savings .
if you want to cancel the service fast just a tip... tell them that the owner of the account passed away and sure they will cancel the account hassle free..
I just called to renew my XM Radio. At first the quoted me $200 a yr. I said no, I can't afford that. Then they offered me $99.00 a yr. Again I said no, can't afford that. I told them I'm retired and on fixed income. So they offered me $60 a yr. With taxes, etc it came to $77.01. I agreed to that. I've been loyal customer since 2008. We'll see what next yr brings as to if I renew again.
I love Sirius XM so much, the music gaves me chill everytime I travel. Thou its expensive however you can still negotiate for the price and thats how good Sirius XM is, compare to other satelite business, you cannot negotiate the price. This video is very Unnecessary 😘 and i know youre also once a Sirius XM subscriber and somehow Sirius made you happy! God bless 💞💗
@@jahnamacna1593 it came with my new car back in 2013. I just got a new car, and it came with 3 months demo, its already ended and I never subscribed. Waste of money. I put all my music on a USB drive. I am good
The way I did it... change your checking account, get a new one asap!! then block the calls when they come in! just anticipate what they will do and just make the change yourself.
I've had Sirius 3 separate times over the years since they first started. But never had that much trouble canceling. Just tell them you aren't interested in promos and you want to cancel. To me it sounds like you were a bit interested in their promos but they had to hit you with the correct offer. Just cancel. Plain and simple. I've never had them pull any shady tactics such as charging my credit card without authorization or anything. They are a service provider. No different than your tv or internet provider. They will try to keep you as a customer. It's not that hard to understand. Just tell them you want to cancel and are not interested in promos.
I don’t know when you have the service, but they make it hell to get rid of now. I was in the freaking hospital and the person still tried to sell me the service when I could not breathe good. That is pathetic and they are crap.
Crazy that in the year 2020, some companies still don't let you cancel subscriptions online. SiriusXM is the biggest scam. Getting yourself an aux cord and Spotify/Apple Music/Tidal is a way better purchase music wise. I'm sure there is another much better service like SiriusXM. Seriously, if anyone sees this, do not give them money. Great video by the way.
Calling to cancel your subscription is a big ordeal. They don't like to honor your request to cancel so they keep throwing you offers at you. This is why they should allow online cancellations like other big services such as Netflix and Hulu.
I honestly don't know how SiriusXM is even allowed to operate! Just check out these complaints from Consumer Affairs! www.consumeraffairs.com/home_electronics/sirius.html It's really terrifying that they can hold you hostage on the phone like that. I wonder if any of those individuals who complained have ever taken any legal action against SiriusXM? Seems they have grounds too!
This piece of information is VERY interesting... www.bbb.org/chicago/business-reviews/radio-stations/sirius-xm-radio-inc-in-chicago-il-88610522/bbb-accreditation I'm not sure if the BBB can help anyone. People could also contact the FTC and their state's Attorney General.
Went through the same bullshit on the phone. I had to threaten to hang up and call back to speak with someone that will disconnect my service. She started off lowering the initial price, then $10 per month, then $4 per month, then their last killing stab was to try to get me to do it for $2 per month for a year.
I get an email a month in advance of renewal telling me what number to call to cancel. But they try hard to keep subscribers. The $5.00 a month offer is really more than fair. but they are obnoxious. Best strategy is not to pay with a credit card. You can send a personal check if in advance of expiration date. Or pick up a Sirius gift card at the pharmacy and pay them with that.
I just bought a new car and was offered FREE XM Sirius for a trial period. I REFUSED.. I once had XM Sirus, and the only way you can TERMINATE and END them is to cancel your credit card and get a new one, because Sirus will not stop charging to that card, no matter what you do... I think credit cards should drop Sirus for those business practices.
When you buy a new car you get a trial period without having to enter your CC info. I was convinced during my trial period to subscribe and it has been a positive experience so far ..
You are absolutely correct. I got rid of it a long time ago and it was hard like you said because they just did not want to let you go. It's a large pain.
I just bought a nice 10 yo car and was amused that XM worked. I thought it was left over by the former owner. Well, these guys do their homework and are emailing me. WTF how's they get my email? I guess I am getting a month or two free. Overall, I am not that impressed with XM..I thought it would be next world amazing..but they just play all the old music that's commercially available. If they had progressive college stations, well, now that would be something special. I am not putting my neck on the chopping block! I appreciate you guys telling it like it is.
@@jrbass62 What shitty station on SiriusXm have you heard the same songs on? because I never have had it happen there prob are some lazy ass Dj's on there that do that
SiriusXM did the same thing with me. I told them I wasn't even using it and wanted it shut off. Well it was shut off for a year and recently I was listening to local broadcast and my sound system switched over to SiriusXM automatically and kept doing it even when I was listening to music from my phone through bluetooth. I called SiriusXM and they told me it was an invitation to use the service and that if I didn't want it, to go to the Ford dealer and they would disable it for me. I'm going to contact an attorney to see if any legal action can be taken for hijacking my sound system.
I enjoy their service but when you try to leave, it’s freaking ridiculous. I was in the hospital and I let the person know I was in the hospital with a breathing problem and I could only talk for a moment. The butt hole continued to try to convince me for maybe 20 minutes to keep the freaking service. Also, when I decided I might give them another chance because they had a really good deal. I was signing up and then on the last page instead of giving me the deal that they were supposed to they were trying to charge me for the deal plus the regular price so it was going to end up being like $29 when the deal was supposed to be five dollars a month for six months
When my 6 months free ended after buying a new truck I was absolutely hounded to death by Sirius. I did not listen to it anyway. I am glad they never got my credit card from what I understand. I asked, then told them not to call, then cussed them out. They kept calling and calling. Now I do not answer the phone unless I recognize the phone number. If it is important, people will leave a message. NEVER, NEVER Sirius.
Yeah, as I mentioned in another post, you are literally tied to them "till death do you apart". Well changed your number, chances are the new person having your number will need to tolerate some unknown calls.
Samy Tell me about it. We moved and got a new phone number. We were lucky enough to get a phone number from a deadbeat that closed his account a year previous. Two, sometimes three calls a day from bill collectors. At first when they asked if I was Mr Serrano I told them that I just got the phone and I did not know who the person was. It did not matter, they kept calling and I knew that it was the same people as I could recognize the voices. I think this dude owed to the whole city. The calls got really bad. I was threatened with jail time, arrest, you name it. I finally told them that I was indeed Mr Serrano and come and arrest me as I was not going to pay the bills. This was before caller ID so we had to answer the phone. Love caller ID now. So many telemarketers, but we don't answer the phone unless we know who it is. Good luck, Mr Serrano, I hope you like your 8X6.
So let me ask you a question....When you bought your house, did you offer the MAX you could afford to pay on the first offer ?? Really ?? It's called a negotiation. Don't be calling that a scam. It's NOT. Now I agree that XM has issues....particularly with their scripted telemarketers etc. But pricing is what pricing is. If they are willing to keep negotiating, go for it.
Yes, we did. It was the sellers market at the time and we couldn't budge. Actually it turned into a bidding war, we won. Paid more than the asking price. Not by much, but we did. We wanted it.
You know what sirius xm is not scamming people, every subscription is subject to auto renew and will go back to its original price if youve been offered a promo, before they've activate my radio theyre asking my permission and saying that there services is renewing, as per representative I spoked to, Now if you called in to cancel they cannot do anything about it and just cancel, but since for business as they value you as a customer they will ask you if what would be the reason of cancelling for them to make the correct action, and thats where they will check if you can still be qualified for getting a promo again, well the bottom line here is sirius xm dont let us customers be a monster for getting promos all the time, and Im agreeing with them, Well its worth the money being paid for to listen for current updates for news, sports, weather, and some other updates not just music, sirius xm dont want you to be introuble incase you don have an internet to check for weather updates on your phone, you may access it on the radio by help of siriusxm, come on be open minded guys
When you do not want it anymore, report back and let me know how long it took and how many offers they tried to give you before you continue to tell them NO. Probably close to 45 minutes. You can not comment until you've experienced. it. You were skeptical and found this video. There are MANY people here who witnessed what I've said and agree with me. Thanks for the comment!
John.. when they ask you for your permission you have to say "yes" or you have to check the box on their website or it would not let you continue.. its forces you with no option. its all scam. not to mention they still have commercials.
@@mikemerlyn.1691 Yeah, that is the way to go as these guys can get stuck to your rectum for life. For me, I would have started my subscription on road trips if I knew I had easy option to cancel after a month, but no you gotta call them.
I traded my car in last year and told them that's why I was cancelling, and it wasn't too bad at that point. But I'm nearing the one year mark with my new car's free subscription, and am starting to get offers. In the past with paid subscriptions, I've forgotten that my subscription is ending and they auto-charge your card at the "normal" rate which is at least twice the previous amount paid. If (and that's a big if) they would have continued to autobill their customers for the previous negotiated price, that probably wouldn't piss nearly as many people off. It's an annual headache with them. I'm just going to let my free subscription lapse this time...I don't want to give them my credit card number. I'm happy with free AM/FM and I can stream free Pandora and iHeart through bluetooth. Goodbye, Sirius...your business model sucks.
That is definitely a good solution to prevent "surprise" charges on the service anniversary. The remaining downside even with paying by check is extending the service for another year...the annual renegotiation with them. I agree with you, and disagree with others here that say it's a smart business model. Not it's not. Even though the fine print says you will be auto-renewed at the "current rate" and the consumer agrees to it, it's still a shock to see your previous $99 All-Access plan jump to $260 or so at the service anniversary. I think most people assume they would be re-billed at the rate they paid last year which is another part of the scam. With all of the free or semi-free listening options out there, it's a wonder they've stayed in business. I'm not a Stern fan and, on balance, enjoy their content but it's a matter of paying a fair and reasonable price for it without the annual re-upping headaches.
You cannot call it as a scam, are you damn, they are just giving you the best options that you might like, but if you don't want, you can cancel it,they cannot force you,
Thats what this video is about. Tried to cancel, took forever. Kept on throwing new deals to keep me. Getting cheaper and different each time. Hence, the scam
I had tried their promotion 99 for 1 yr and at first i wanted to cancel because there was a change with my time travel going to my work from almost 2 hours of travel it takes 30 mins now to get there. And they offered me 3 promotions from 99 yr 72 yr went down to 4.99 per mos or 60 for 1 yr.(not so certain w the exact price of their 1st and 2nd offer) But i dont think so that it was a scam for not providing right away their lowest promotion. You should know already the word NEGOTIATION if you run a business. Yes it might take much of ur time listening to their pitch but it doesnt mean that they tried to do a scam by not providing the lowest rate right away. You should already know that!
Watching this video in 2021, I have ran into reps that don't do that anymore. I think they are realizing that they are needing to change their approach on customer service.
The way to get the most out of them is search for the trial offer then it will ask for radio id to see if it's eligible. I have done it on many and they always come back 3 free months. Use a new email if you have had them before and use a old card that you don't use anymore, example a prepaid Visa Vanilla card. After trial is up it can't bill and before they shut it off they will offer you 6 months for $30. Take that and you now end up 9 months all together for $30. After that start the process all over :)
lol, I just got a call from them today. Asking me to come back because I bought a new car. They continued to badger me about coming back. I told them I created a video about this exact problem that they harass people. They do not understand that NO means NO, then finally they hung up.
@@Joeteck Something else I have noticed, company's that do this trying to get you to give up and keep it longer also only have Auto renew payment. Notice how when your sub is active you get just a couple emails here and there. Cancel it and they hammer you 3 emails per week minimum begging you back.
@@dougheclipse1717 My wife has it and she pays via check, probably the best way so you can cancel without any issues. I just do not need it. I do not listen to sports and most of the channels are blank and play the same repeated sports shit. Probably only 10 to 15 channels are good. Some of the comedy was good. To spend all that money for a few channels seems pointless. channels 2 to 17 seem reasonable for anything your into. The buzz word is "over 150" channels? I have all my music I like on my 4gig USB drive.
Why are you taliking across the mic? That's a front a ddress microphone - it needs to be spoken into directly into the front of the mic. If you're wondering why you sound like you are speaking in a tube, welp, there it is.
Katt Productionz C you must be blind I'm speaking directly into the microphone. Look carefully this time. If you can't hear me there's something wrong with your speakers or your ears
You are talking across the axis of the mic, it should sit in front of your face, like a stage mic. Directly in. Look at the polar pattern diagram that came with the microphone..
Hey man, a singing mic can work as a broadcast mic, I wasn't disputing your choice, I was commenting on the way it's being used. it is being improperly utilized as shown in the video and you would achieve better vocal clarity if you spoke directly into it. That's all. Nice subject matter, by the way. XM was better when it was just XM and they were changing shit. Then they sold out to Sirius and bought that idiot Stern and his gaggle of functioning retards and boy oh fucking boy did that put them into debt. Been debt since day one, actually. The stock is in the toilet - I wouldn't be surprised seeing XM kiosks pop up in supermarkets soon. It's been over for a long time. Can't download the songs? Over!
I called to cancel it like 20 times. They still are trying to get money. It’s been 6 months ago I canceled it. But they still trying to collect money for service I don’t have. I’m starting to think they have a problem on the phone so you must go in person?
when I bought a new car I got 6 months free , few weeks before it would expire they called me to offer me 6 months for $45 then I declined said i wasn't interested, then they called me week before expiring with $15 for 3 months and after it would be $5 dollars a month... yet again I Declined and they persisted to call me until they stopped... fast forward 3 months later for some strange reason Siriusxm is activated in my truck without me ever accepting any new deals or plans or any kind of subscription . Ive never given them my credit card information so I'm not sure who they gonna bill.. maybe send me bills in mail . Indeed agree with you
Be careful, especially if you had your vehicle serviced at a dealer recently. Participating dealers will submit service customer data to SiriusXM from their dealer management systems. SiriusXm now has your name and address associated with the RadioID in your vehicle and turn on a 2 or 3 month free subscription that auto-renews. They will send you a bill, even though they have no credit card on file for you. We just spent an hour on the phone with them getting the charges removed and account removed. If this happens be sure to document the confirmation number, which they generally volunteer. But just as important, is to get the Interaction ID number. We received a bill from them in the mail. We never turned had subscribed for the car in question, and we had actually sold it before this all started. So the dealer had our address for the car when it was taken in for repair. Totally frustrating and seems like the old telephone slamming scam.
SiriusXM radio is the worst stock to own. Just about doubled in 5 years. Shocking they havent turned a profit yet In those 5 years. Poor business ethics perhaps??
First of all siriusxm is a radio satellite service provider.. they pay for maintenance of their satellite services for your siriusxm.. second us music royalty fee, these are fees that the programmer wants siriusxm to pay them for you guys to have better and more channels and you do you know how it costs every year? millions and millions of dollars!! and this is the reason why the regular rate per month is really that high.. if you are the owner of the company you will understand how hard it is to make this deals.. siriusxm established a department who can help customers regarding cost and value.. so if your telling these people it is a scam? you're dead wrong!! promotion means discounted rate that siriusxm gives you as a favor of being a customer and its their policy that after promotions it will get back to its regular price.. you just skip this part bro.. I know its just a radio but not your typical type of radio bro.. it is the only satellite radio company in the US and your lucky that they still give you a favor...

You cannot disconnect your subscription on-line - you have to call them on the phone - then it takes 20 min - 30 min to get a human to answer - then they go throigh the above described scam sales pitch. This should be illegal - there should be an easy way to go on line and discontinue the service.
SIRIUS is paying Howard stern 89,770,000 to much pr year he is worth 30 thousand a year and that's being generous that's where all the serious money is going to that schmuck.
I'm not interested in XM radio anymore because I now have The Bluegrass Jamboree online radio station for FREE, which also plays a FAR better selection of songs than XM plays.
Correct!! if they made it a fixed $100 year for everyone, they would have millions of subscribers. But as always greed controls this world, and no one is every happy enough.
Or at least give us ability to cancel service easily and let us come back at our convenience, well I heard they do have a freezing option. As for rates, there are many loyal users who are happy with whatever they are charged. For others, they have the discounted options if you call in. I guess that is why they make you call, so you have to go through some hassle to get reduced rates.
This is true. I have done it in the past and just kept forgetting to call and cancel. This time though, I tried saying I sold my car and they just kept offering the streaming service from my phone and then when I said i didn't have enough data to stream they even offered sending a radio to add to my home or new car for free. Although the call was only 10 minutes long. I have never had to push so hard into cancelling something before.
It is a big scam I just called them. I have Basic plan and wanted to try the streaming untill they told me it was an automatic double on my bill that would be billed every month that I would not be able to cancel I said No Thank you!
CatsCraft they charge whatever they want. That's why all the deals you hear are different from person to person. The free month is the biggest scam, you will forget to cancel and be billed full price for the year. Thanks for the comment!
They even try to wit you mathematically. I remember seeing, someone trying to cancel and they offered 2 years for a price slightly less than double that of a year. Clearly, you are ending up committing for longer at almost same rate.
She was doing her job, don't take it personal, that's why she's there to retain people. Obviously, the higher price is marketing. If you had given a good explanation I would have believed scam but this is not scam it is just a person doing their job
It's a complete scam AND they will re-activate your account without telling you. It's built into the fine print to re-activate and they won't refund you. I had to block them and dispute them through my card company. HUGE SCAM
TMobile was far worse canceling my service. I was grandfathered in from Sprint. TMOBILE store reps are supposed to be fully trained to cancel and the rest. They were probably lying saying I had to call. Or stupid. Then long run around due to Sim issues. It took 1/2 a day of calling & trying different stores.
No its not scam! if you cancel the service and later on you decided to have a service back then you will gona pay again with this activation fee and the standard subscription rate. Promotion are radio specific.
I can see sirius xm being useful for people easily distracted aka people that shouldn't be allowed to have a phone in their vehicle and just people who dont wanna mess with their phone just to listen to music or live in a rural area no cell coverage I like it because of how slow android auto is to open and start playing music while xm is on right away
Actually there's no Scam in SiriusXM, the truth is all the promotion in siriusxm is a radio specific and it may vary from time to time because its automated by a system or an AI. What ever promotions that are been showing in the system that's the only promotion that they can offer to the customers. And if the Customers didn't accept the offer then they will proceed for the cancellation request. and take note All the plan of SiriusXM is designed automatic renewal at then the current rate.
I have one question I buy one car ,and the after few days sirius xm sand me email and then call me everyday I don’t know how they know my number ??? I don’t want nothing somebody explain me ???
Its a business. Life is easy. If you want to cancel because of the price then you will get offers to lower your bill. If promo prices wont work for you. Then it will be canceled. Simple as that.
Joe depends to your listening preferences, well that's why SXM was given me my money's worth what i'm paying for. I do understand no company walks to your door and say i'll desatisfy your needs regardless of all your wants.
That's Why I Buy CDS because of this..... But I don't use Sirius XM Radio that much because if I do it will increase to I don't know $ 300 on their bill to get another year of Sirius XM Radio service.
They are a pain in the butt for sure. I have Sirius/XM built in on my Honda Goldwing. Obviously I don't ride year round and I don't want to pay for Sat Radio when it's in storage and when riding I only use it every so often so paying full price isn't even a question. So I do the Please cancel me. Then they come back with a barrage of offers offering less stations but I listen to NASCAR on the weekends while we ride. Which is in their top tier service. I have got them to come down to 6 months for $39.99 for full service and then when December rolls around we have stopped riding anyway I call to cancel they will try to get to to go on standby service so no renewal fee I tell them if they ever charge me a renewal fee I won't be back then they say ok because if you get the standby service they charge you full price in 3 months snow is still on the ground around here. So I say no then when I call we go thru the hassle thing all over again. I'm not going to pay several hundred bucks a year to listen to a radio less than a dozen times that's just nuts. Their service is too high for something that people forget about their satellite was put up in space on taxpayers money to try to launch a radio service to start other companies jumping on the band wagon. That's when XM failed and Sirius bought them out and has been struggling ever since . Uncle Sam bailed them out! Again just think of everyone's radio's in everything you can think of that Sat part being useless. If they would come down to the bottom haggle price they would have more subscribers and be solvent! I'm off my box now! Meds kicked in lol
Mike Balloonman Thank you for that awesome comment. I read the entire experience.. $40 is reasonable for a years worth. I have it built into my Prius as well.
I was trying to do the 25 percent veteran discount thing online. Sounds shady. Tried to do it over the phone. Hindu on the other end tells me that offer ran out. I look at web site for veteran discount, it shows 2018. I call back, and yes it applies. Got car with satellite radio installed from a rental so no account under my name adding confusion. Tried entering radio id online, it takes me out of veteran page and quotes me non veteran rates. I give up. Its a scam.
Howard Stern helped SiriusXM and the did not provide good service?! Now they blame Howard?! Excuse me, The Howard Stern Show is the greatest show on earth... SiriusXM blew it !!
YEP, a scam! In the not so distant past I purchased a high end GPS system where one year of Sirius radio was included in the purchase. When calling to activate the service I was quoted a billing price 🤔.. DON'T DO IT!! IT'S A SCAM!!
I have a separate prepaid debit card I pay for things like xm with. When I don't want it I just don't put anything on the card. I just keep putting them off also and they give me 90 days free and then $2.99 a month after that.
That doesn't make it a scam - it's just business - you have to understand that there's a difference ... I knew this full well before subscribing because they clearly state you have to call to disconnect from their service meaning they are open to negotiation regarding the fee your charged
I think too many people do nothing but find faults with products and customer service, etc. I have been a satellite radio ever since XM was started and merged with Sirius satellite radio........now known as SiriusXM. I have never been treated in the fashion that you are describing. People want to say and throw around the word "Harassment " like they know the definition of it. Remember this.......you were the ones that called them. They didn't call you.......therefore, there's NO Harassment. People really need to get a grip on life and stop complaining so much. I'm sure you've spent more time then 30 minutes in drive thru at McDonald's, Burger King, Starbucks, or Walmart, but you want to complain about 30 minutes on a phone???? Why didn't you just not pay your monthly subscription and let it disconnect itself???? I guess that makes you the harassor. SMH 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Sxm is not a scammer you people just dont understand what you're signing for... there is a term and conditions that is reading to you before you sign up in a certain package.. yet you're not listening and understand all in the terms and conditions
@@Joeteck maybe in a perfect world... thats just not how business works - you can shop different stores and see the same item listed at different prices - does that now mean the store thats selling it for cheaper is "scamming" you?

You are incorrect with the second offer $49.97 for 6months 48 percent savings. compared to standard rates of $15.99 plus fees and taxes per month. you are just like paying 8 dollars per month
Its kind of an exit interview. I was on the phone for long time. And they kept on lowering the prices. I wish I recorded the conversation. Every individual is different apparently. But the $49.97 a year was not for all channels. I'll edit that so its not misleading. Sorry.
well that's ok for me b'cause before i'll spent much time downloading my favorite songs to my cellphone and buying some cds but now i have it all of that in one just plan with no waiting so i saved much time.
yeah right buddy! for me it is not the price but time you spent to listen to your favorite songs The Select Package Plus 70 commercial free music and sports, news, and talk channels I suggest you to switch to All Access Package so you will have all the channels including Howard Stern and All live games for just $50for 6 months plus fees and taxes right around $55 total " TIME IS GOLD " every seconds count. technically you're saving money
Frando Amante not bad. I only listened to about 10 stations. the comedy 95-99 and a few others. if I could get only those then maybe. plus I get hissing most of the time anyway. I guess my radio stinks in my.Prius
It's sad but am and fm radio have so little to offer I never listen to it at home or in the car. I've been thinking about satellite radio but the thought of being aggressively hustled over the phone by anybody makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I just don't have the patience for that shit. No satellite for me, thank you.
Their Receivers are junk,Never had one last longer than a year.I finally just ended up cancelling the service since I started to consider receiver replacement as a hidden fee.
Scam the scammers . I disconnected my radio first before cancelling the service . Waited 4 months without having my radio connected . My radio never recieved the "do not recieve" transmission to stop receiving service . So now when I connect my radio it continues to work as always and for free
Noriel Coliao but no is no in business, and they wouldn't accept it. So, If I said yes to the most expensive plan, I would have gotten ripped off. It's a scam. Be honest with your business practices. Simple.
Agreed. And only new customers get the better deals, unless you did what I did. If I really wanted it back I could have gotten a real good deal. Its incredible how many people search for SiriusXM scam... it is screwed up.
you don't know math bro... 5 dollars for 12 months?? how come.. it should be 60$ not 50$ right?? second what is your reason why you want to disconnect?? it is not stated in the video... it's not harassment it's giving you options... if it's offered and you don't want it just say no!.. then they will be more than happy to cancel it for you!! since they don't want you back as their aholr customer... okay?? got by point bro??
The reason for disconnect is SiriusXM kept on changing prices. Once you have a good deal for 6 months, you have to pay full price for the other 6 months. why? There is never the same price for everyone. Its all over the place. SHould have been one low price from the start vs, starting high and going low. total BULL SHIT!
Joetech dumbest analization ever. From the word itself its a PROMOTION which varies time to time. Other compnys are doing that as well. Now to avoid service interuption ofcourse itll automatically renew and since ur promotion is meant to end of course itll go back to its regular price, now is that a problem? Coz u should knw that u can get another promotion or cancel the whole damb thing. Simple..for you to understand that the promotion will not be a permanent as you want to be sxm has a lot of competitors even thou its the only 1 satellite radio provider.
And of course its a marketing strategy to offer you a several promotion rate before providing the lowest rate That thing should never be explained to you. I dont have a business thou but i dnt need to have for me to understand their side.
Not really, obtaining the service is easy if you pay, you'll get it, *SIMPLE* Canceling the service is where the *SCAM* happens. Changing the deal every second they get to keep you is wrong. *Should be one low cost for everyone so this does not happen*
It depends of how it offered..and it depends how you understand..for me the reason why its starts with 99 because what its trying to give you is always savings compared to the regular rate..if you choose 5/25 or 6/50 its okey but you need to realize that after the short term promotion its always renew into a regular rate.then what?? If you will be charge in a regular rate?? You complain ?? You need to remember business is business..that's why there's a promotion to keep you as a VALUED customer👌👌..then if its all that matters then so be it. Well anyway its always depends on how the conversation goes😉 i can't tell.. As a customer has always the option to take a break for a moment if you just don't need it at all..
Bonifacio Jarabe incorrect. You didn't watch the video. I called to disconnect. I was not interested in any deal. They continued to bagger me with deals that I was not interested in. Soon as I threw out the "harassment" charge everything stopped. Try it and you'll see.
Not like that it isnt.i shouldn't get harassed when canceling. Yiu should know the difference. They are being instructed to be stupid. Remember, you searched for this video, so don't be a hypocrite!!
I wish, knowing Sue would get me the good deal. You think if I threw that name around I would get a better deal? Whats her last name? Sue what? HAHAHAHAHAHA Sue XMRadio? LOLOLOL
Oh, I apologize. I actually understood your joke completely, but thought your comment was rather asinine considering I didn't capitalize the "s" in "sue." That said, I replied with what is know as sarcasm, it's a particular style of humor that has gained some popularity over the last century or so. That said, leave it alone.
Flanz Shirt No sarcasm. I was merely playing on the word "sue" as a name and added her last name as XMradio, but intertwined your original idea to make it funny. So Sue XMradio... lol. Thanks for the comment!
Not included with regular subscription. That is additional cost. You need to have the regular service and the streaming is an add-on. Just so you know.
I did not know that. My son is a truck driver, he leaves us a car that has Sirius XM equipped vehicle so we can listen to it when we drive his car. Our cars do not have them. I enjoy the service, and being mobile eliminates the problems of a stationary service. I had it in a long haul truck, but when I left the truck, I stopped sending the check. If I was going to get it again, I would use a debit card, or some other form of payment that was seperate from my normal finances after reading this. It was a hard lesson for you, I appreciate your telling about it.
@@patriot9455 Its not just me. Read the comments. I am just happy I can help others try not to make the same mistakes I have done. *Paying by check seems to be the answer* As they need to send you a bill, therefor you can check the price before paying and lose the risk of paying top dollar for the service.
Wrong they did steal it. It wasn't until I threatened them with a law suit and pressing chargers against the CEO. I Informed them I had the names and numbers to NYC DA . Within one hour all my money was returned.
this guy is so funny . if u like their service but u hate the rate then simply call them ask promotion thats it. Everything u said here were all non sense, u know nothing
You must be a Dial America employee, commenting on a fake account. Its the sad truth that you guy are scammers, and with a ridiculous comment like this, proves I am correct. "I know nothing". All of my information is 100% correct because I experienced it
Either way. If you're on a promo like 36 for 6 months it will renew on a regular rate unless you call them to make some changes on your account. It's not real that your card will be charge like double. It's up to you if you agree to save your card on file or not. If you save it then it will be charge automatically when it renew if not, they'll send you a bill
Wil The Snake this is a very old video. At the time I did not have money for newer equipment. I now have a lav microphone. But thank you for the comment.
