From being sent to boarding school at the tender age of 6, when most children are pampered and enjoy the luxury of home comforts, perhaps this decisive step by your parents shaped your destiny and instilled the courage and determination in you to be fiercely independent, to think original, and to enter an arena which most would balk at attempting . Congratulations on a well conceived and excellently executed vision, that has transformed the lives of so many rural women and given them the much needed economic independence , boosted their morale and subsequently given them the freedom to make their choices in life What a wonderful release it must be for them to break free from the shackles of a dominant conservative way of life that is integral to the rural parts of India. . Even more exciting is the fact, that they were given an unexpected opportunity to give full rein to their imagination and improvise a certain ancient craft which is rooted in the weaving techniques of charpoy making . Suddenly they discover their hidden talents, and utilise their skills in ways they never imagined. Bravo Ma'am that you have included your 62 year old mother too in this wonderful initiative. There is dignity in being economically independent , which makes you realise you that have total control of your life . And that is exhilarating.! Wonderful story. I ve been visiting the town of muzaffarnagar ,,but never knew that such a great initiative is going on somwhere there,,,,,,hats off to Sirohi for creating such a great platform for women, creating work for them so that they earn their livelihood,,and making lives so much better and making country proud too😊
