hmmmm..just seems like most of these "budget" fast lenses don't really have good quality until you stop down to F2 or 2.8... which makes me wonder why get them if you can't rely on the fast aperture giving you good results wide open.. Seems to me a better option is to get the Sigma 1.4 trio which has been out for 7(?) years..plenty of nice used ones out there ( Nikon Z only recently available)..and are PROVEN high quality lenses throughout the focal/aperture range.. they are not new ..or cool...nor size matching.. just sharp and fairly rugged and the loss of 1.2 to1.4 is minimal compared to gain in sharpness....
Completely different lenses. These are tailored for video where many DPs actually seek everything that people think is wrong about the lenses. The sigmas are still lenses that are clinical with no character, which also makes their chromatic aberration issues a lot worse compared to these ones in my opinion. When a video lens has chromatic aberration and softness, it’s more acceptable. But when a lens is sharp and clinical, but also has a ton of fringing wide open, it just looks like, a much more apparent, optical flaw. Owned the Sigma 1.4 trio myself.
Hope the X-mount versions perform at least as well. As for white lenses, no true sniper would ever use them. Talk about conspicuous in street photography. Almost as bad as sliver. It'll be the black versions for me, purchased in the (discounted) set.
👍🏻👏🏻Can’t imagine these 3 lens don’t show any focus breathing. Should be good lens for making Video with Z8 too. Hope Sirus will make similar product for Full Frame Z mount!📸️
