@@mrbee4life182 No one would argue that. To me, "Monkey Shines" was almost like a feature-length version of one of the shittier episodes of "Tales From The Darkside". That doesn't mean the film isn't the most adorable--as in "cute"--horror movie ever made.
I've watched a great deal of these video's and I think this is only the second or third time I can remember Gene liking a film and Roger not liking it. Of all the 4 possible combinations, that is by far the rarest and I enjoy watching those for that exact reason.

I can't say enough good things about A Fish Called Wanda. It's just one of the funniest movies ever. But do not watch it if you're an animal rights activist.
You know what it reminded me of? Son in Law. Odd character has wacky hijinks in an unfamiliar setting, while he and the girl fall for each other (Shrimp on the Barbie was another movie with that formula). What it really comes down to is whether or not you're a fan of the kind of shtick the leading man performs. If you're amused by Pee-wee, or the Wiez, or Cheech, then there is no reason you shouldn't have a fun time with their movies. But if you're not, you'll just be shifting around in your seat for an hour and a half, waiting for it to be over.
Im amazed Jerry Lewis didn't try suing them for the character having a funny voice as he started all that years before so it wasn't exactly new or original

there is absolutely nothing frightening or violent about _Bambi._ the most violent thing that happens is a gun shot is heard. people shoot deer. particularly in the South.
