Wow! Loved this entire episode, especially Gene's nuanced discussion about stereotyping. He explains how long he thought about that scene in "Mo Better Blues", spoke with Lee to get his thoughts, and his argument that just one line can flesh out two dimensional characters was dead on.
Gene is just plain wrong (again) about "The Tall Man". I'm really surprised at how often he seems to miss films that are good to very good and characterizes them as bad or not worth seeing. I just don't get it.
