Saw "Crossroads" opening weekend, 8th grade...loved it and stayed to watch the next show...got the soundtrack on vinyl and an old VHS copy from a closed video store...3 and 1/2 stars for me...⭐👍🏿😎
Siskel was waaaay off on Salvador. One of Oliver Stones best films. Casting James Woods & Jim Belushi was gold. There are funny scenes yes. But there are equally harrowing & hearbreaking scenes as well. I'm glad Woods was nominated for best actor.
bravo to Roger for appreciating Crossroads, i fully expected both of them to crap all over it. the girl is very important, the film is about Ralphs character and he is sort of a sheltered young men. she is sort of a free spirit and he has never really met anyone like her before, they are the same age but have every different experiences and for the first time in his life he really learns what it is like to just absolutely fall for someone and then feel heartbreak and basically rejection which hurts. he learns a little more insight to this music that he has loved and worshipped but not really understood before.
