It's like Jane March had a clause in her contract that she wouldn't do a role unless it was offputtingly sexually explicit... not that I'm complaining.
i am honestly surprised to see them even reviewing "The Lover" i use to watch it all the time on cable, but not because it was a great film or anything. i was all of 19 that year and that girl was gorgeous and naked all over the place. "Flirting" on the other hand is one of my all time favorite films.
Snipes was already a big star at this time. New Jack City and Jungle Fever the previous yr were hits and in '92 he had a even bigger hit with White Men Can't Jump and Passenger 57 was a big hit
Flirting - Noah Taylor returns in this politically-themed, predictable sequel to the classic "The Year My Voice Broke" featuring Nicole Kidman, 👎 The Lover - Jean-Jacques Annaud's adaptation of Marguerite Duras' novel earns points for its sumptuous photography and music yet is bogged down by subdued performance by Tony Leung Ka-fai and Jane March, 👎 Passenger 57👍 Alladin, 👍
Jennifer 8: 👍⭐⭐⭐1/2 - a very good psychological thriller with lots of fluidity between a hot shot cop and a cold and calculated serial killer The Lover: 👎⭐⭐ - a mediocre erotic period drama which has all skin, no bones Aladdin: 👎⭐⭐1/2 - the animation is so beautiful to look at, even Jafar is a convincingly frightening villain. Yet the overall plot is strained Passenger 57: 👍⭐⭐⭐1/2 - an exciting action thriller with a claustrophobic premise in terms of domestic terrorism, and a well designed script Flirting: 👍⭐⭐⭐ - a beautiful chaos of a film set in 1960s Australia
