I LUV Bruce Willis and Dana Carvey but I agree with the commentary on Master of Disguise and Striking Distance. And I'm with him on 3D sucking. "I don't care if the arm comes toward me from the screen. I'm not really moved by that." I Don't mean Any offense to people who like 3D. Everyone's eyes r different.
You're welcome. If I'm not going for the gold medal, I'm always striving for getting nothing but at least I'm in the competition. And in the words of a failed film director: "I'm doing the best with what's available".
"And I'm gonna tell you: "3D" SUCKS! (...) And it doesn't add anything, because I don't care, if the arm comes toward me from the screen! I'm really not-really moved by that!" :DDDD Me neither. ^_^
I have heard so many more people tell me specifically that 3D gives them a headache than people saying anything remotely positive about it. Personally it doesn’t give me a headache, but I barely notice it at all. It’s like going to movie theaters where the seats rumble. Neat trick, but who really cares?
True story: I was going to watch Mission Impossible II but at the last minute I followed my brother's recommendation and bought tickets to Big Momma's House instead. I will never forgive him.
As a standalone action movie, Mission Impossible 2 is okay but it's really just a John Woo movie. And Mission impossible 2 is better than Big Momma's House 2. I'll tell you that right now. One of the worst sequels ever.
MI2 worst of the franchise imo. I saw it in the theatre and there was too much blah action/motorcycle “action” But yah big mommas house is not good, but I did love Martin Lawrence in blue streak and black night
I was working in a theater when it came out! I'm still not convinced it was a real movie and not a collective hallucination all film-goers had in 2003. Good news is we had fun beating up the cardboard display the studio sent us for the lobby after the film closed.
Red Davis My mom rented this and Scooby-Doo on the same day. Some double feature. We started with the latter first, then the disastrous MoD. I was 10 and hated it.
Years ago before cable TV in my area, Siskel and Ebert was the best place for movie talk. Even though I may not have agreed with some of their reviews, it was a fine program. I liked the inclusion foreign films that never got much press. Rip, btw the Howard Stern scale episode displayed their sense of humor.
Striking Distance is something that Steven Seagal probably said no to and they threw money at Bruce Willis. It's such a predictable and laughable experience. Master of Disguise...yipe! Big Momma's House...Mrs. Doubtfire as a FBI agent, enjoy some chuckles, but the ending was A HOWLER. Hard to Kill is a "so bad, it's good" movie with badass action sequences, but after that the dialogue and bad acting is truly hilarious. Scooby Doo (Why?) brought back the most hated character of the show...Scrappy-Doo and the second is truly unwatchable. After I sat through Mad Dog Time...came to the conclusion I never want to watch anything to do with Larry Bishop. These are true film critic legends.
Half of the comments below are so petulant and moronic (among other things) that I feel shamed for the people who wrote them. Who cares what they dressed like? or if they (or anyone else who likes them) is 'uncool'?...... RIP Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel... your voices, and writing, will be terribly missed by many.
thank you. this person you responded to (and i know this was a year ago lol) has been saying awful things to me and calling my videos that i made when i was 9 or 10 gay and the worst shit ever and (loling) while he said it. He's done this continuously and he makes me sick.
at least I'm not thrilled by someone getting cancer like a sicko. I certainly hope in day to come you become a better person. Also being a nerd isn't a bad thing you're a nerd as well just for different things.
No, psychosis caused that man to do what he did. Don't blame movies for intrinsic human problems, unless you're a troll. In which case, you still fail.
Haha exactly! I did block that person and all of his friends, but they actually stalked my channel and searched through my feed and kept finding ways to find my comments and bully me. They're really insane. But I've been ignoring them and they went away so its all good now
He's right about 3D. I regret seeing Tron: Legacy in 3D. Made all of the colors washed out, movie was dark. It only had a bit more depth. I would have rather seen it in 2D.
I’m sure you knew this, but Roger wrote the screenplay for that film. It wasn’t mentioned in the video, so it’s interesting that you brought it up without supplying that context
Jordon Morgan Actually I think The Counselor is a good movie, but it's pretty uneven in the criterias of a movie. Scott actually managed - along with the cast and the technical crew - to make it into sort of a modern day western. It actually became dramatic towards the end, so I gave it Thumbs up.
