They did the same thing to Janet Jackson. Cancelled her after the SB malfunction but allowed Justin Timberlake to flourish. The women's feminist group did not even come out to support her. Left her flapping in the wind.
@@richhabrams1898 I thought the same thing like wow that family was music royalty. If he could do that to her everyone else did not stand a chance. Her music changed a decade. Changed how young women dressed across racial lines. Changed how young women took control of their lives from their domineering dads at a young age. And it was quality music too. Les Moonves has her blocked in at every turn of the corner.
Oh gosh!! I just got to that part of the video!! Their 1st song was "How Deep is Your Love"?!! That song came on a soundtrack after or around their second album!! Lol
Sisqo and Jaheim has the dopest voices. Executives, make me sick. They tried to hold him down, you can't hold down pure talent. if you have talent and wanna get out go independent, you don't need a major record company they will try and make you a slave.
Every black performer is a rapper. I’ve heard the same done to Chris Brown, August Alsina and others. Also when white rockers do something unsavory like assaulting someone at a Super Bowl party they’re also a “rapper” like Kid Rock (his name literally lists his genre of music).
To be fair I actually saw that MTV VMA, he did win best hip hop artist and there were some boos from the audience & even Sisqo acknowledge that wasn't his genre.
I did a show with Dru Hill back in the day in Baltimore, MD at the AFRAM Music Festival. All of the guys were down to earth; no egos, just having a good time. #memories 🥰
I lived in Baltimore when they blew up. I saw them in Kansas city last summer, where I live now. Were not making love still makes my eyes water because that was out when me and my wife was breaking up.
But people think money 🤑 is evil. Lol hahaha Man's hearts are Evil, thats why we have a Savior Jesus Christ who gave us his spirit that we may be holy and that we follow him.
Prince won his fight with the biggest of the industry in a major way, they can never deny how he changed the game on them, as he mentored others to do the same
That's how they black list you. They did it to Monique though Tyler Perry and Oprah...who said the same exact thing when Mo wouldn't tour for free for the "Precious" movie
I can't believe it either. I think he got railroaded in that one. It beats me how Ricky Martin's team could successfully lay claim to ownership of words.
That's what caught me! It wasn't even a sample! And it wasn't a major part of the narrative of the song. He just had crappy lawyers, or no lawyers at all!
I hope he comes back in some form if that's in his heart because has an incredible voice and talent and he was definitely a hitmaker. I wish him comfort and success in this life.
Now Dru Hill is basically a super group because it’s Sisqo, Jazz, Nokio and Scola and another old group called Playa they all merged together and they better than ever
Actually it was "tell me". Both were off of the first album tho. Not sure how the reporter confused that for a song off of the sophomore album and/or the Rush Hour soundtrack smh.
The young girls in my neighborhood in Baltimore all knew them some of them went to their Prom. They are very talented I loved Sisqo dancing he was very energetic.
Dru Hill man one of my favorite groups that Cisco could really sing and dance I miss him my most favorite song was the love we had stayed on my mind just cold blooded 🍀😇🙏❤️
I already went to this concert the end of last year, it was awesome. All the members ever to be in Dru Hill were performing together. Genuine, Case, &Lloyd were there.
Michael Jackson was not the first one to do the moonwalk people the young man's name was Jeffrey Daniels and back then the move was called the backslide the young man used to be a dancer on Soul Train
Sisqo was like a K-Ci & JoJo hybrid with a pinch of MJ in his early days. You forgot to mention "Got To Get It", which hit #40 on Billboard's Hot 100 & #12 US Billboard R&B/Hip Hop. He was up there with Usher, Ginuine, & R.Kelly, as far as talent goes.
I remember being like 14 in 1994, on the boat ride(seasick af) to nat'l harbor w/fam. These fine ass dudes were sangin n making chocolate. Way before they made it. People were buying candies like crack from that lil place. The singing was soulful even then.
Well I’m freaking floored I thought the group DRU HILL was some grown ass men and Siquo running around here and he’s a year older than me go freaking figure
