While talking music "stars" with a friend several months ago he mentioned Sissel. I had never heard of her even though I pride myself in my knowledge of music. To make it worse, I'm of Norwegian decent! I Googled "Sissel" and now I listen to her every night. The most beautiful woman I have ever seen and the most beautiful voice I have ever heard! Where have I been??
I'm not Norwegian, but I came across her several years ago on RU-vid singing Solveig and thought her an opera star I hadn't heard of. Since then her voice helped me through Covid lockdown. I decided to see her in concert and meet her if possible. I did both. And she is as she appears; gracious and compassionate. She chatted with for a brief time and I felt shriven.
I just love this ladies voice, personality & beauty. Just found her in the past year & truly regret all the years I have missed. She "is" now my favorite of all time.
There are few voices to match the versatility. She has adapted over 35 years to bring pleasure with every note that passed he lips. A brighter star would be difficult to find.

I only discovered her in my 80's. She is fabulous and I wish I'd heard of her years ago. She is way under-rated. She should be as famous as Celine, Mariah, Streisand and others.
I am a 79 year old male from South Africa and live for music and with only one leg still love to dance. I am addicted to you tube music videos, which fill my day.. For a period I was confined to a wheelchair and this was when I discovered You Tube and have been hooked ever since, about 2 Yeats ago . Through this, I have been introduced to many many artists, including Sissel, who is amongst my favourites and listen to her daily. She does a cover of Rpy Orbison's, In Dreams and in my opinion does it far better. Other favourites are Helene Fischer, Jill Johnson, Anne Vedding and Anna Winner.
