THANK YOU Sissel! This is such an important message during these times where suicide is so prevalent. It is often just this simple thought that there IS someone who cares and that thought can save a life. Thank you.
Yes & sometimes it's someone in the immediate, here & now. Like the truck driver who picked me up in Central Saskatchewan, me tired & worn out. He told me that he had, in order to make his trip pay, had been driving without sleep for 4 days. Some used to take benzedrine (bennies) to stay awake. He said to me that I could climb into the cot in the rear of his truck cab. When I awoke & pulled the curtain back, we were coming down 17th Avenue in Edmonton. What a blessing! On another occasion I was stuck in Hearst, Ontario, for several days. My brother-in-law came to the rescue wiring me $50 so I could get a bus out of town. I was desperate by that time as the local cop was on my tail. It would have been 6 weeks in jail for vagrancy. He was a real meanie.
Hope Sissel is doing some good self care, saw where she did not feel well enough to travel to a commitment; Need to commit to herself and her self care first. We all love the music but not a the risk to her health
