I even wondered why the new gen girlgroups had nof yet taken Sistar's "legacies" as their main concept. I mean currently the spot that Sistar occupies in the market is currently unoccupied, but most new gen girlgroup still wants to battle it out with "snsd-legacy", "wondergirls-legacy" or "2ne1-legacy" (bubblegum-pop, trendy-pop, and girl-crush). Although I also could see other new gen girlgroups exhibits the image of other previous girlgroups like ITZY resembling F(X) or G(I)-dle resembling 4minute.

Raynxxi Aqoh sexy is not in trend unfortunately. I really miss those days with sistar, secret, 9muses, missA, etc

Alot of Kgroup nowadays debuting in the age of 16-17 and having a sexy concept is a BIG NO-NO, although yes Dasom debut in that age but still they didn't have a sexy concept that time. Other than that like what the comment said before mine that's not a thing now since there alot of dangerous SASAENG fan now. But I can see starship starting to gave WJSN a low-key summer comeback like their pervious CB boogie up.

But I would like to clarify one thing,..taking Sistar's "market-spot" is not equivalent to girlgroups taking "sexy" concept. If you watch 3rd gen girlgroups cover sistar's songs like TOUCH MY BODY, I SWEAR, or MA BOY, they were not showing a sexy concept (to be frank). but a "summer-bop" concept. It is simply due to Sistar members being so alluring that the concept was misinterpreted as sexy. LOVING YOU was never sexy, whether it was the song or the mv, but once they performed it live, fans get the sexy vibe suddenly. Also, ALONE, which definitely has a sexy theme, can be said to be a one-level below compared to HEART ATTACK by AOA (which is even a bubblegum-pop song) in terms of sexiness because AOA is famed as sexy girlgroup by kpublic. What I mean to say is that, new gen girlgroup could "try" to take on Sistar's spot just by specializing in girly-summer theme without focusing much on the "sexy" part. For kpop afficionados, they know that after Sistar disband, no girlgroups had been consistent in releasing "every summer".

For SISTAR i think Hyorin wanted to go solo and they disbanded which was a shame because i wonder if that couldn't have happened with them staying as SISTAR. For BOYFRIEND, not the same case, Boyfriend weren't doing well and STARSHIP didn't give them much promotion even after The Unit, they focused more on MX because for was a lost case. Maybe if starship had changed their concept before debuting MX or put more effort, they wouldn't have disbanded.. well STARSHIP messed up BOYFRIEND but i dont think STARSHIP messed up SISTAR more like they agreed to disband (because no reason to, they were already famous plus only one summer comeback per year which would ofc do well, so they weren't losing anything)

Hyolyn wanting to leave the group first was just a rumour though.. IDK why all the blame gets put on her when Bora signed with a new company first and Dasom always wanted to be a actress. Starship was bitter because she decided not to renew her contract. She was the main reason Sistar was where they are and they were mad she didn't accept their terms. She always wanted to write songs in her style but Starship didn't allow it.

Colorful Autumn no ones blaming her tho. Somewhere they said that they basically had a pack. If one member wanted to leave then all would leave.
