Donnie McClurkin is one of my all time favorites and this interview blew me away. He is always transparent. This interview touched me deeply. I will continue to lift him up in prayer.
I was in my early 20s and was at a camp meeting were pastor mcclurkin was singing. He wanted to meet me and my wife after service because he said God had a word for us, we met, he delivered the word and blessed us with 100 dollars. Today I am an ordained minister that never forgets how God used pastor mcclurkin in his life.
He is such a blessing to be around . He very humble and loves to have fun. He kept us laughing while we went to minister at his church several years ago .
I just love me some Donnie. It is so important that black people, especially talk about their mental health. We’ve endured so much. Never ever feel as though you’re CRAZY if you sit down with a therapist. Talking is healing. I am so happy that I have a solid relationship with God. Get in touch ppl with your spiritual side. Write in your journals. Once again if you have a job with health benefits PLEASE UTILIZE THEM. You are your # 1 priority. God created the doctors. My all time favorite song of Donnie McClurkin is “Speak to My Heart”. That song changed my life. Health over EVERYTHING!!!!! Love from the Bay Area! ❤️🙏🏾
He's not suicidal! Come on people get a grip! We beautify things and people in our own eyes. But there is a cost when you take up the cross to follow the Lord. The spiritual journey is no place for the carnal mind. It may take a lifetime for some of you to understand why he said what he said as far as Lord lets end this. Sometimes in life on earth and the chaos that comes with it makes people rather be with the Lord in his eternal peace, and not in the chaos of the world. If you study David oh, he had all type of mental issues and spiritual attacks that is why in Psalms he prayed to God the way he did, and the Lord saw him through just as I believe he will see Pastor Donnie through. Thank you Brother Donnie for allowing your mouth to speak as the Spirit of God give you the wisdom and the gift of discerning of spirits to speak. Thank you for your wise and godly response to the question about Kanye West. May others learn from his ability to stay spiritually minded and not to rise to the temptation that cometh from flesh. May we learn to recognise when God is doing a work (as he is doing in Kanye) and may we be patient and lift those who are babes in the Lord up. May the Christian Community stop judging Kanye by his celebrity past and instead cover him with prayers as he transition out of the Devil's kingdom into the Kingdom of Light in Jesus His Lord and Saviour Mighty Name. It is not easy folks, he is in a serious spiritual warfare, it is not easy but with prayers and believe in The power of God in Christ Jesus it is possible. Pray much for Kanye, saints, Satan wants to keep him in his camp but the Lamb of God (Jesus) have already overcome death/crucifixion/the grave-Jesus is risen Glory Hallelujah, and so will Kanye if he endures all the snares and critics by keeping his eyes and his heart fixed upon Jesus. Thank you Donnie McClurkin for sharing the truth about the cost of ministry. Most people (especially leaders) pretend to have all together. But the fact is, without God no one would make it, for real, real talk...thanks for sharing!!!

For all the people out there, that are saying he is gay , that why he not married. In this day and age that is ludicrous, because if he was worried about his image , he easily could have a paid wife in the forefront and have his lover in the background , as so many do in the church and entertainment industry. I don't know what is going on in his life but being alone is not bad until you find that special one for you. I know of many married ladies , that those they are not alone but they feel so lonely in their marriage.

but he was wrong. Kanye west has no business preaching when he is not saved himself. If he truly wanted to help him,he should have counselled him to get truly born again and sit down and learn the word so that he can be equipped as a believer. Kanye is not saved yet.
I am blessed to hear someone of Donnie's stature having an honest conversation about mental illness. Thankfully, Donnie has access to many helpful resources for healing that most of us do not. He can afford to see the best therapists and enter the best treatment programs. I hope he takes full advantage of every resource and isn't afraid to take time away from ministry to do so.
My God, I feel the same way, God can I just go home, man, that hit me so hard, I understand "Donny" but God and God, is still and always be in control, so for this situation I speak peace, and I also speak manifest station, there is still something that your heart desires and I decree and declare that God fill that within you, not years from now, and not months from now, but " RIGHT NOW" because at the end of the day, Satan stole something, and Because Jesus died for us, I say it's time to get it all back, "yes you can" and "yes you will" even in your 60s!!!!! The atmosphere was a little icy on the show yesterday, Quad was extremely rude during their discussion, and today she's not on the show 🤔 Good!!!! You see how everyone is listening as others are talking? Angry girl Quad can't do that.

I deal with also. Sometimes stress and depression and I keep so much private that I Pray and tell God I see why some people feel as if they are ready to die and leave all this. I tell God He is the only one I can talk to and He already know all about it. Then I have to think that I have to go on because God have a purpose for me and to share his word and see and hear and interact with others that speak and teach God Word. God is so Mighty and AMAZING. It will all be over after while and I want to keep the light of God shining on me so others can see God we they are looking towards me and I Pray the same for ever one. We can live in Joy see God light shining where ever we are and whom ever we hear and now when deceit is around but speak of God and watch the devil flee in Jesus Christ name. Amen.

He has said many times that he has been delivered from that. I know two Men I grew up with that were gay, that want out from it. They went to therapy and church and were delivered. Then I known females that were married and chased men during High School and College. Now at 30 they are Bisexual. People can change one way or another.
Perry Saunders sexuality is sexuality. Do you think that if the tables were turned you would be able to stop being sexually attracted to women, you would for sure stuggle. He may not have sex with men but he is for sure not straight.

Not just Pastor's do not have anyone to go to. A lot of us can only go to God and He is our source. I am BLESS play and watch Pastor Gino Jennings Broadcast and the word of God that God Bless me to either know and have an understanding of or get a clearer understanding and I feel a lot better. Or I just be in a quiet place and just continue to talk and cry out to God Lord and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST until then I go on. The Holy Spirit speaks and tell me to encourage myself and I will speak life and hope and scripture and I will sing and Praise God. Oh how pressure is the flow that wash me white as snow, nothing but the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen. I sing different songs and even sing whatever good word that fulfill my heart. What ever words the Holy Spirit place in my spirit to sing. That is the best singing ever. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you all the way, every day through everything and you will never go wrong. Summit yourself whole heatedly in Jesus Christ name. AMEN.

He was humble enough to jump on the organ at this church I sang at when the young musician playing didn't know "To GOD Be The Glory". He didn't know me at all. But that was old school and he was gracious to play. I too suffer from depression. Several diagnoses and I try my best to live for my son. People who don't know what it's like are blessed. My first breakdown was when I was 15. I will be 47 this year🙏
When you can DO SUMTHIN NICE for YA SELF. Continue to read and declare Jesus word against depression. Ask GOD what's the root of the depression and RENOUNCING that thing. SPEAK AND DECLARE. Stephanie , please don't buy into the lies that being a caregiver leads to depression. It is something else that is going on in a person life that is causing his or her depression. The Laws Of Universe Are Absolute , like Gravity ,what goes up, must come down. So ,if you are a caregiver, then care-given will be multiply back to you. In truth, greater care will be given back to you because the seed you plant will always produce a greater harvest.

It's a fantasy that the universe or even God always rewards a caregiver. A person who is self-sacrificing has to take care of him or her self. This means saying "no" at times, taking breaks or getting help from others. Clearly, he's suffering from loneliness and lack of support. Part of the reason people suffer in silence is due to others diminishing or ignoring their feelings. Usually, it's the ones benefiting from their self-sacrifice or just plain insensitive.

I am , in no way insensitive to the pain , frustration , and heartache that some people encounter being a caregiver. It's a good thing to do , in posting a website dealing with the issues because the surrounding issues in dealing with depression or being a caregiver are full of complexities. Everything in life has a natural order, a built-in system in how to operate and function, like a sperm meeting egg. Then we have beautiful babies. I approach being a caregiver from God's Universal Laws as a protective measure for the caregiver, in not being overly worked , taken advantage of or being made to feel guilty as a caregiver. Learning and practicing the laws , would help you work in a guilt-free structure in your life , where you can say No ! without being riddled with guilt. Which most caregivers cannot do , especially when it comes to their loved ones. I find also that the laws help you to set healthy boundaries in your life , that you do not cross because of the health of your wellbeing is at state. Again which most caregivers , don't do ,some of them are always on the run for somebody else. You have many people out there in life , who is not a caregiver and are suffering from the same symptoms that Donnie McClurkin describe. In life you have to learn, study, practice and apply, being happy or sad, positive or negative. There's only the right and left side to choose from and whatever side you choose , that will be the side from which your life operate from. The beautiful thing about this is that you can always change sides. Those are my opinions , in which i hold dear in my heart concerning God's Universal laws. Now ,having God Himself in your life is on a whole other level, speaking from experience. I have walked down the road of depression many times before ,in mental and physical torment and pain. I lived my life in a demonic unclean sewer hole looking for love and validation. At the point of death , when i just couldn't take life anymore, i cry out to God, to help me, i don't want to live like this anymore and suddenly i felt like invisible chains and shackles were melted away from the inside of me and i felt free. Nobody but The Lord Jesus Christ has done this for me. My life is beautiful now ,full of love, peace, joy, good health, and plenty of money. People tell me all the time, how good i look. Water can be used to refresh a thirsty soul or drown a thirsty soul. I use God's laws for the constant refreshing of my soul. God bless Donnie I really admire him. He's right; his struggle is helping others to stay strong in faith. Contrary to popular belief we don't have to give in to our struggles, truly that would only make matters worse. As long as he is able to share his pain with someone he'll be okay through Christ Jesus

What a wonderful , good, honest and real interview given by Donnie , however a anointed man a God never mention Jesus, is suspicious to me. Yes , God can deliver, set free and clean you up but He does it by Jesus Christ.
Thank you Pastor McClurkin for your transparency regarding depression and mentally illness. It is a topic that we rarely talk about in any community until something happens. For years we have camouflaged our illnesses by avoidance or through laughter and it is silently killing people of all walks of life. We compound this and other problems by thinking our spiritual leaders are the answer to every situation and the truth be told they are not professional qualified to address the various layers that comes along with depression. The answer to every situation is not marriage or the lack of having a mate. No one but God is equipped to handle some of the excess baggage that we carry day in and out. Only god truly knows what are ugly really looks like and loves us no matter what. God is still speaking, healing and moving on our behalf and it is in HIM that we live, move and have our being (Act 17:28) so continue to trust him through this process as well. I rebuke the spirit of suicidal thoughts being uttered publicly or privately, as “where he leads me I will follow” should be our anthem for deliverance. Be encouraged and know even if the question changes the answer is still GOD!
michael hines you can only speak for you and not the millions of others that are suffering from this disease. Know that mental illness is real and no one including the saints are exempt from it.
It is a possibility ,that his suicidal attempt was bought on my mixing uncleanness with righteousness , in reference to the demonic dark side of the Hollywood Gospel scene , that alot of these gospel artist are apart of ,for Fame and Fortune.
