Omg! I remember that one and how bad it was when they got found out. It was probably easy to fake on this show claiming sore throats and needing a backing track for continuity.
0x777 NBC was still going strong with long running hit shows. It would’ve lasted long if premiered in 1980-1983. Plus this show was up against murder she wrote and the Simpsons
To be honest, considering that the show took place in an orphanage, it would’ve been really hard to keep the premise up-unless they had a different cast of kids every season, that is.
I thought Jason Priestly looked familiar when I saw him on Beverly Hills 90210! I used to watch this show when I was a kid. Loved it! Brings back really fond memories. And to hear at the end of the show the reminder about A.L.F and the Hogan Family. Used to those shows too.
I haven't seen this or crossed my mind in 32 YEARS, Thank You for posting this! 🙏 I'll have to call my brother and send him the link! ☺️ Thank You, so much! ❤️
This was another one of those situations where a good series just flew under the radar (although Stephanie Beacham WAS nominated for an Emmy). Sadly, no one besides Jason Priestley really did anything after this.
Anthony Rupert This show came out at a very competitive time. Cosby and Roseanne ruled the airwaves. There were also lots of new series that premiered in 89-90 that became hits(Family Matters, AFV, Doogie Howser, Living Color, Seinfeld)plus this show was up against heavy hitters like murder she wrote, America’s funniest videos and some show on fox called the Simpsons
Stephanie had done Dynasty and The Colbys, and Jason would go on to do Beverly Hills, 90210, which Stephanie also guest-starred in. All Aaron Spelling shows.
Amy Grant also known as The Queen of Christian Pop and also known as Mrs. Vince Gill I remember her singing Sing Your Praise to the Lord and later jumped over to the Pop Music Scene beginning with her 1st Top 40 Pop Hit Find a Way, but it was the 90's that made her a Pop Sensation with songs like Baby Baby, Every Heartbeat, Good For Me, That's What Love is For, I Will Remember You, It's Takes a Little Time and Lucky One
@@tnawcwvictoria , yep, I’m old enough to remember all of those milestones in her career. She’s such a gem! Her Christmas album is my favorite, especially the songs Mary Did You Know, and Emanuel, God with Us. So lovely. 💜
This was a show that was actually good but was neglected by the network and woefully scheduled. Placed in a time slot with an established hit this show would have gained an audience and lasted several years.
He was most remembered for WKRP in Cincinnati. He was a recurring guest star on Growing Pains and he played the role of a pedophile the bicycle man in Diff'rent Strokes. Notice how he being typecast?
I realize that had her dressed that like for comic effect, but nuns hadn’t worn full habits like that for a good 20 years when this show originally aired.
Amy Grant sings the television theme sister kate she did a great job but the television show sister kate it has the cast including Stephanie Beacham Harley Cross Hannah Cutrona Jason Priestley Erin Reed Joel Robinson Penina Segall and Alexaundria Simmons
I don't mean to sound unappreciative, but is there any way to upload a better quality version of this show? At the current resolution it's hard to watch on a tablet, much less a large TV. Thanks
I'm watching at full screen on a 52 inch TV. i'm able to see fine. The show is 30 years old and hasn't been released in HD quality. Take what you can get, or don't watch.
The very hungry caterpillar by Eric Carle In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf. One Sunday Morning, The warm sun came up and popped out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar, he started to look for some food, On Monday, he ate through one apple, but he was still hungry. On Tuesday, he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry. On Wednesday, he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry. On Thursday, he ate through four strawberries, but he was still hungry. On Friday, he ate through five oranges, but he was still hungry. On Saturday, he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice cream cone, one pickle, one slice of swiss cheese, one slice of salami, one lollipop, one piece of cherry pie, one sausage, one cupcake and one slice of watermelon. That night he had a stomachache. The next day was Sunday again, the caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf and after that he felt much better. Now he wasn’t hungry anymore and he wasn’t a little caterpillar anymore he was a big fat caterpillar, he built a small house called a cocoon around himself, he stayed inside for more than two weeks, then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and.... he was a beautiful butterfly!
Me: So to reassure me, ChatGPT, if episode 1 of the SisterKate sitcom depicting a child smoking would have been broadcast in 2023, it would have been largely criticized and condemned? ChatGPT: Yes, if an episode of a sitcom like "Sister Kate" were to depict a child smoking and were broadcast in 2023, it would likely face significant criticism and condemnation. The depiction of a child smoking, even for comedic effect, would likely be seen as irresponsible and inappropriate in today's cultural and social context. Given the heightened awareness of the dangers of smoking, the potential influence on young viewers, and the increased scrutiny of media content through social media platforms, such a scene would likely be met with strong negative reactions and backlash. Public sentiment and expectations around responsible media portrayal have evolved considerably since the time the show originally aired.

@@josephcalderon906 same I was 8 as well plus there were so many kids lol and of course sister Kate is Dylan's mom on 90210 but I remember her from dynasty/colbys because my mom watched but I also remember her from this
@@deesee3622 Really?,in Hollywood,as an actor/actress you'll wind up working with just about anyone, especially if you have appointments with the most notable casting directors.
The problem I noticed right off the bar with this show was the children using adult humor and I'm addressing the boy who insinuated he wanted to get with the nun and then made a fat joke when she turned him down No kid talks like that .At least not back during that period Rude little shit ,too
I stopped watching as it was similar to another stupid show called "Eight Is Enough". Beacham's entrance as a nun was outrageous and far-fetched. The WWKRP star couldn't even save it, an' Jason Preistly did not yet have star power like Johnny Depp (21 Jump Street). The show was bound to crash.
