I got my boss to play this over the warehouse speakers. All 17 minutes of it. I consider it my revenge for all the awful shit some of my coworkers request

My favorite Disneyland electric light parade song.

Back in the day, when I wanted to clear my house out after a party, I played this song real loud. It worked.

No wonder you rarely hear great praise for this album. It's near unbearable. I mean, was there an actual producer to this album? It just sounds like someone pressed the "Record" button and called it a day.

I listened to this song at the peak of a 5 gram mushroom trip. It was absolutely horrifying. I was introduced to a new type of fear because of this song. I felt like Cecil and the sailor, shooting someone and being shot at the time time. Time stopped, but Sister Ray just. Kept. Going. I had to take my headphones off. John Cale should be in prison.

I want John Cale to play the organ in my church ❤

the greatest thing I ever heard about this song was that the band wanted to do a live recording to be included on the album, 1 take, no dubs, or fills. The engineer told the band during the first few minutes of recording that they shouldn't expect much from him, as all the VU meters were clipping into the red and the band should stop. They told him to just leave, and he replied hit this button when you're done!

I hated this song when I first heard it in the early 70’s. Then when punk came later I completely got it and changed my opinion.
@EnbyJones
I'm 67.5 years old. When I ask the college station to play it the little whippersnappers only do it grudgingly. But there is one guy who'll play it Friday morning God bless him. Probably an old fart too. Btw the repeat at the end always gives me the chills it's so beautiful.

I'm 59, when I bought this album when I was about 18, took it home and played this track, I kept checking the needle thinking it had some dust wedged on it...until I realised they recorded it like this....hahaha Absolute genius. What a glorious noise! Me and my friends made a lot of music like this too. Mo Tucker holding it down like a Boss!
@1redJoey
When I was working I used to love playing this at full volume to get me through mundane chores like ironing a bunch of shirts. Now I've retired I play it to annoy the neighbours.
