WOOO! Just listened to the real people live playing in Stendhal festival in Ireland, left last Sunday came last Thursday! AMAZING PERFORMANCE! All of them in their 60's now, (63,67,64 to be precise) amazing performance! Still twirling dancing and singing better than ever at their age!

This song I consider an act of God as it has become an anthem for millions of families. Not just the married with children type. It could be your sports or work team or group if you feel that close. Or in my case it's us and our four pets. Family has many definitions. Sadly the Sledge family was reduced to three sisters when Joni died in 2017. She was 60.

I have a son who is adopted and his finalization happened about when he was ten months old. I went out and found this song on a 45 record. "We are family." I've heard this song played at my school and from my mother's iPhone as her ringtone for somebody that calls her. "We are family." That's the only lyric of that song that I know. "We are family." The last time that I heard this song was on Thursday, November 3, 2022 during my P.E. (Physical Education) class in my gym from my Coach's 2 big speakers at my school. Coach is capitalized because that's what I call him.

You are so right. I got one of the most beautiful gifts I have ever had in my life from someone I have not even met yet - a friend. As growing up in Philadelphia in Mount pleasant I met one of the sisters ledges and we actually played together my mother used to babysit for them I love their singing and their legacy will go on and on and I am thankful to have met them and I do love my sisters as well
