Fr Mark, a man from my town went to venerate Sr’s body during the viewings before she was reinterred in her crypt. He was cured of advanced cancer and the Church is now investigating the possible miracle.

During a very sad time in my life, I made a rash decision, nothing immoral, just took on a huge responsibility that I quickly realized was a mistake. I was frantic and people were unhelpful and unkind. I made a mistake = no mercy. But my tender hearted Savior inspired me to make up my own novena to Sister Wilhelmina and 3 weeks later, He moved about a million puzzle pieces in an instant and delivered me from the situation. And delivered me in such a merciful, kind, gentle way!!!! I am soooooo grateful for Sister’s intercession and I have no doubt she chuckled when God finally resolved it. Thanks Father Mark!

I am seeing alot of ladies at Mass wearing veins. The one ahead of me for Communion got on her knees to accept the Host to her tongue. Makes my heart so happy to see the old ways returning.

Yes Fr Marc, Stay with the Church. That is what Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre did. 🇻🇦 he always maintained that Paul VI was a pope and had authority. But he did what he did because he believed that Paul Vi had no right to suppress the traditional seminary in the way he did. SSPX The Defence by Kennedy Hall explains all the questions. I believe the Archbishop will be vindicated and canonized. Remember St Athanasius everybody. 🙏🏼

Thankyou Fr Goring for your podcasts, which often give my husband and myself something to ponder and a good chuckle! But not today 😮! The modernists will do all they can to shut down the Traditional Mass, as we see happening across the world today. Archbishop Lefebvre saw this coming and knew the Treasure Our Lord has left us must not be snuffed out. So to save the Faith for the future, finding himself at the end of his life, he knew it was his duty as a Bishop of the One True Church to leave other Bishops to carry on God’s work of saving souls. The Fraternity of St Peter we’re promised a Bishop, and are still waiting for one! The continuation of the Traditional Priesthood, and Traditional Orders now is being shown to be in jeopardy in the mainstream Church. I go to SSPX since the pandemic My parish stopped mass for I don’t know how many months. I am eternally grateful to the SSPX and Archbishop Lefebvre because SSPX did not close up and refuse the sacraments. I called my beloved priest at my old parish and explained that our Lord asked Peter three times “do you love me” and Peter said three times “ Yes Lord I love you” and Jesus responded “Feed my sheep.” My family felt Abandoned. Also, everyone takes holy communion on the tongue and on our knees which is more reverent. Sometimes you have to disobey. Especially when the message changes so much the sheep don’t hear His voice. I have always appreciated your messages Father Goring and know you have been walking a fine line but sometimes you just have disobey man and put God first.

As a Catholic who grew up in and still attends predominantly the NO, I can say that it is entirely man centered. It is all about the people from the time it begins till the time it ends. We set people up as an idol before God in the very moment that we are supposed to be adoring God and assisting spiritually with our interior prayers at the Sacrifice of the Mass. It starts with the opening hymn. The music is usually some kind of folk or rock which is designed to produce certain effects like arousing the appetites/emotions and getting your foot tapping. It’s entertainment focused pleasing man. It is profane in its very nature. It does the exact opposite of what liturgical music is ordained to do. Liturgical music quites the appetites and disposes one to prayer lifting the mind and heart to God by its very sound. Though the individual may not understand any of the words, it still penetrates. The priest faces the people. As if we are the important ones even though the sacrifice is to and for God. If he turns around to face God the people complain. “He turns his back to us.” The Mass becomes about getting the people involved physically and vocally. They need to be singing, saying responses, lecturing, Eucharistic ministers…. God forbid that Father has to let a lay minister know that he doesn’t need them. What if Father doesn’t make the precious Blood available for everyone? There is very little to no silence for real prayer like contemplation. It’s distracting. I can’t pray. The homily. That’s a tough one. Father can’t actually teach the faith because that would be too offensive and parishioners complain. If you actually want learn about the difficult readings and parts of the faith, then you have do that on your own. You have the sign of peace which people use as time to talk to each other. “You coming over after Mass?” After Mass ends people talk about the music, homily, complaints, compliments, and just visiting with friends all without even leaving the pew. They may migrate the isles. If I have to choose between the Catholic Mass which is man centered and the Catholic Mass which is entirely sacred and God centered, I will choose the God centered Mass. I will obey eternal Rome not the one of this passing age. It has left us starving and thirsty. We are perishing for lack of nourishment. Thank God for Bishops and clergy who are willing to stand up to Rome and defend their flock from the errors and the abuses of power.

Thank you Father ❤️🙏. We attend an FSSP TLM Parish. I pray you learn and celebrate the TLM - it would be most transformative. Yes, Jesus is present in the Novus Ordo, but in many new order churches, you can’t even see the tabernacle - the new Mass is man centered with the Priest facing the people. In the TLM, you truly are adoring God as led by the priest. What a great blessing for you who are sustained by Grace thru the new Mass. I am not as strong as you. I need the total reverence, awe & wonder of the TLM. I would cry at the new Mass - seeing no one was giving due reverence to Jesus in the Tabernacle set off to the side of the church - that is why I had to return to Tradition. . . The Mass of the ages, the Mass of most all the Saints . I need that - I’m sorry if that offends you, you are most blessed & much stronger in faith than me as you are sustained by the new Mass. I grew up with the Latin Mass. Loved it, miss it. People talk about the Novus Ordo being more understandable but when the Mass was in Latin, I could attend it ANYWHERE in the world and not feel lost, the language was the same everywhere you went.

We go where we are led. I love the prayers in the TLM. Our Catholic church here in Johnson City offers the TLM every Sunday and most Monday evenings. I also go to the NO during the weekdays. While vacationing in MI recently, we went to Mass at a beautiful Catholic Church in Ann Arbor. I have never been to such a beautiful Mass! It was a beautiful blend of NO and TLM. The congregation recited the prayers in Latin, Communion was kneeling at the Communion rail, the priest faced the Tabernacle, the Alter, the Crucifix as in the TLM. Yet, it followed the “new” liturgy. The reverence and spirit in that Mass just blew me away. Afterwards, the entire congregation fell in line for the most beautiful procession of the Blessed Sacrament I have ever witnessed. Truly, this priest is leading his flock to Heaven. We have to be careful not to judge how people worship. We are all led in unique ways. We are all under the same umbrella….Remember we go to Mass for Jesus. All for Jesus. Focus on Jesus.

Archbishop Lefebvre is the single rope that pulled tradition through a rugged, jagged cliff onto the grounds of the current times. If it were not for him, tradition would have rolled down into extinction. Before judgement is passed onto the Archbishop, GRATITUDE must be given to the man whom we all owe what we still have and celebrate up to this very day. No one can be thankful to the Archbishop until he fully appreciates what a gift Tradition truly is.

Father Mark, I visited sister Wilhelmina last week. This is the second time I visit her. She is amazing and the nuns are wonderful and very helpful. I recommend it highly. Very peaceful place.

Amen Father! All of the saints talk about the importance of obedience ! Sister Wilhelmina’s frustration but moving forward with obedience and remaining in communion with the pope is the only way to go! We need to surrender and trust in God!

She was a mere nun while the Archbishop was much higher in the hierarchy of the church having been superior general of a religious order and Apostolic Nuncio of a large part of Africa. Sister was not in a position to make those kinds of decisions. It is a very different situation one from the other.

Thank you! As a kid in the 60s and 70s, I asked my mom about some of the wacky stuff, and some comments in sermons that seemed off. She was very calm (though she distrusted some theologians and trends “in the spirit of Vatican II). She said “the Church is a Church of sinners, never expect otherwise, but Jesus is True and he will sort it out”. She often quoted Catholic poet Francis Maguire who wrote: “Yet erring, erring, proud and loveable, This upstart, baseborn consort of the King, Who, should she so desire, could not annul the timeless terms of His strange marrying. Her He selected, and her head is high; In His name speaking, she speaks chaste and true, Although at times her robe may set awry, Though they be muddied by her retinue. Imperfect mother, still a slow beginner in knowing children and in loving men, embarrassed by her saints, like us, a sinner; she falls, and weeps, to fall and rise again, Until, we pray, that final day will find her, safe with her spouse and us tagging behind her”

I am old enough to remember all Masses being Latin. I go to the Novus Ordo Mass but I feel the attack on the Latin Mass is an attack on all of the previous Masses I attended as a child and young adult.

Thank you for such an important statement for today! We are in the midst of a storm, but Jesus is in our boat with us. Praised be Jesus Christ!

Archbishop Lefbvre was right to do what he did. He had the virtue of obedience and tried to obey Rome in everything that could. Rome promised him bishops multiple times. He was dying of cancer and he knew that if didn’t consecrate them then the SSPX would never get them. Rome was abusing its authority/power in trying to force him to say the NO alongside offering the TLM and dangling the promise of bishops in front them. I grew up in the NO and am still predominantly in the NO. It is dangerous and violates many Catholic principles and teachings in the way that the Mass is offered. No it is not offered in line with the dictates of Vatican II or the those of the rite itself. “Some” vernacular became all vernacular and the command that Latin was to be retained fell be the wayside. There were at least six indications that the NO was written to said facing God, but the priests face the people. Vatican II said Gregorian Chant was to take pride of place in the liturgy, but we traded the sacred liturgical music for profane music from the world. That is just few examples. I stand with the SSPX.

Eyewitness report: I’m 75, and have lived and worshipped in the Roman Catholic Church before, during, and after Vatican 2. The church was absolutely thriving BEFORE Vatican 2. We were told ad nauseum that we had to modernize and change everything so we could get all the protestants back into the church. We hated the changes, but like good catholics we trusted our shepherds. This was all before the internet. I never heard of Lefebrve until sometime in the 80’s. Again, believed the false narrative about him supplied by the trusted shepherds. The implementation of Vatican 2 changes by any metric have been an absolute disaster. What the last 5 years have unequivocally brought out is that this long term destruction has been purposeful, not accidental, implemented by false shepherds. Fathful catholics didn’t leave the church. The false shepherds have done everything they can to lead the flock away from the true church. “There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed.” Its all out in the open now easy to see. But people don’t want to see it because they are afraid or they are under a diabolical disorientation. Say your rosary EVERY day so the Blessed Mother can give you discernment to see reality, her Son!

The question arises would we have the TLM without Archbishop Lefebvre and his followers. Bishop Richard Williamson who was unfortunately removed from the SSPX, I always listen to his sermons and like many admire, appreciate, and respect his humility and knowledge.

I agree. I love the TLM although I go to a NO mass. I am grateful for Vatican II though. I came into the church as a convert and it was an amazing N.O. Church. The Eucharist was received very reverently in that church. I have nothing but good things to say about the N. O. Churches and priests who have ministered to me. But I will say that the parishes I’ve been to are predominantly immigrant, so there’s just not the same Protestant influence in those churches as other American churches. There is the belief of the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. I think what Vatican II brought was more laity involvement and some wonderful ministries that were needed and a call to every Catholic to evangelize. Now it’s time to come back to the reverence of the TLM. We can have the best of both worlds. God always works things to the good for those who love Him.

Thanks to Abp Lefebvre who has the courage to preserve the authetic teaching of the Catholic tradition. Look at the fruits of SSPX. The Immaculata Church in St Mary's, Kansas. And the increasing vocation, utmost reverence to God, to fight against the heresy and modernist teaching which endanger the faith of the people.

Father Mark I discovered the traditional Mass about 5 years ago and it changed my life.. and getting angry has never been part of being traditional. Finally father I highly recommend you read the famous bio about Lefevre. He was correct

Sister Wilhelmina's case is a good example of the inner struggles of most present-day Catholics. The extent of her discomfort with what she perceived as wrong with her old community is such that she had to leave and start a new community. I do not think that she sees her old community as condemnable but she has to leave because she failed to connect with God through the new cultures and practices. None can tell what would've happened if her effort to start a community that aligned with her convictions were denied. I believe that this is same with TLM goers; TLM works work them so, let them have it! We have different religious orders in the church with some being radically different from others in terms of spirituality and observances. We also have different rites that are in communion with Rome. What is it about TLM that is so objectionable that it cannot be accommodated? I've been to TLM for about 5 times and that was in 2022. I must say that I prefer the Novus Ordo if it is celebrated with the decorum that befits the liturgy. However, I understand that there are those who prefer the TLM and I believe that the church is big enough to accommodate all of us.

Father, are you open to learn and do the TLM?

I converted 12 years ago, I was told about the SSPX, when I researched them I found that they were Not approved by the church so I stayed away from them. I know of sspx’ers that say they are the true church. My wife and I have since found the Latin mass during Covid, I feel truly blessed with it. My wife and I go to the N O if we need to and find we feel detached from the mass.

As a craddle Catholic who had strayed, the main reason I returned to the faith was the Traditional Latin Mass. I think anyone who looks at the recent history of the Church will immediately understand that were it not for Archbishop Lefbvre there would currently BE no Traditional Latin Mass. Read what Our Lady of La Salette says about the present-day Church or even the warnings given by Our lady of Fatima about the hierarchy. The messages are a real eye opener.

In an emergency you have to go through the red light sometimes.

So many other faiths or religious love tradition. But are Catholic Brothers and sisters dislike or even hate it. It brakes my heart to hear that and see it. I Love the TLM. I am a alcoholic and a drug user. I know I failed so many times but so do u. My soul knows there is only one truth and one faith but most of all One God in 3. It's like back in the day during the Cristeros war. We fight for Christ and his Holy Mother the church. It's not about feeling or what u think is right but what is God's will for us. Novus Ordo translate into New Order. New order to what? I ask u , do your sons, daughters, cousins, mothers and fathers still going to Mass? Would stop doing to Mass because it rains, snow, storms, Plan Demixs? If we are Christian Catholic then we must fight to be that and love to learn about are faith.
