Part of me thinks they shouldn't go and seek out the stuck and helpless souls that are in limbo (often occurs in suicides or sudden, violent deaths) unless they can offer help - or assistance towards the light. I actually find ghost hunting a bit disrespectful if they don't try and do this. Guide them to pass over

I had a paranormal experience at a derelict 1700’s farmhouse nearly 3 years ago, me and my friend both witnessed it, we did urbex but weren’t interested in paranormal. The house was still fully furnished, everything was about 40 years out of date, and all the photographs on the wall and fireplace looked 40’s/50’s, the damp in the air was so thick and everything was coated in a layer of mould. We entered through the rear of the house via the kitchen, which brought you round to the living area, it was very dim inside, and the living area gave way to a very long and wide hallway, we looked around for a few moments and my friend who is very curious found a glass cupboard of trinkets, he picked one up and accidentally dropped it onto a small wooden coffee table, it was quite a loud noise that made us both freeze out of caution. When we froze, we both heard directly above us, the eeriest, slowest, heaviest footsteps you will ever hear, we were completely paralysed with confusion as we listened. Suddenly, we heard a slow creaking sound and looking down the hallway, three doors creaked open suddenly by themselves as the slow footsteps continued, we absolutely bolted from the house so fast that my friend fell and cut his leg open, as we made it to the front gate where his car was, we stopped, looked back, no one came out to chase us, there were no noises, nothing. We got into his car and we drove off past the house, I decided to take a photo and in that photo in the bottom window of the house is a gaunt, skeletal face with no eyes peaking right at us, I didn’t notice it for a few weeks after. But the event itself traumatised me so much that I couldn’t sleep with the light off for over a year and I kept having nightmares, after about a year and a half I finally came to terms with it and that’s what ignited my interest on the subject… though I will never, ever set foot in an abandoned building ever again because of it

I've been the same, Im an Empath and pick up on energies. I don't per say hear voices as I feel them in my head. Im usually spot on but every once in a while, its like my head is not clear enough and I don't pick up anything. Thank goodness I rarely see them but when I do, it freaks me out cause I just see a flash and can't always tell what it is.

You probably are just naturally more clairvoyant than others. Some people are just born with these special abilities

It may be that there is a "priest hole" The building's age coincides with the times in England where Catholic priests were hunted as enemies of the state. Nobles who were secret Catholics would build hidden rooms to hide priests and celebrate Mass in secret.
