God, this was so much fun to go to! Despite being born in 1996, my dad put them on when I was in middle school and instantly fell in love with them. Ever hearing them in GTA 4 was amazing! Then also dancing to some of the songs in the restraunt at the back of the venue... :D
Everyone seems to be crying about the sound and AE's voice. Could it be possible they have not heard of this yet...God is dead I'll be front row, to witness it
everyone's complaining about his voice n whatnot but personally i went to the show in philly just to see the guy cuz i like him lolol. i'm far too young to have witnessed him in his prime but i appreciate his impact n i think he's endearing in a raggedy old cat way. and frankly i think the whole standing there n idly recording thing is kinda lame ik most sisters fans are older but i had a blast dancing in the strobe lights, i think moving around helps everything sound better. but to each their own. i love grandpa and his pretty guitar boys, it is what it is!
From the last of the baby boomers, what a refreshing attitude, oozing positivity! Yeah his voice is fcuked and they should really make an album so older folks like me can play it on their vintage HiFi systems, but it is what it is. I watch all the tours on here and enjoy the new material accepting this is the only way I'm gonna hear them. Agree about the phones. My gig days are in the past now, safe to say was a lot better before the screen age and all the sensitive people getting in the way. Dancing in the strobe lights? If the band ever did produce a new album this would be the perfect title! One Love.
This vocal mix was way better than their 1st show on the tour in DC. Eldritch's vocals were completely inaudible during the entire show and 'Uncle Jessie' over on stage right was turned to 11. It was awful.
@harrymackenzie8732 - just saw them in Austin TX and the mix was horrible. Sound engineer had Andrew's vocals way to far down and the instruments overpowered them most of the time. The vocals also had tons of midrange and when I could hear them it was a wall of distorted midrange mess. What should have been a good show was a waste of 70 bucks. This concert sounds way better than the Austin show. At least when I do hear AE - his vocals are not destroyed by to much midrange.
I was at this show. My brother and i, along with many others, left 6 songs in because the sound was so terrible. I waited 20 years to see this band, only to leave pissed off with a headache.
They are coming to my area and I wouldn't go if someone gave me a free ticket. They were my favorite band in the '80s and early 90's but this is a total shit show. Literally.
It was the sound guy at the venue. I was at this show, tons of people were complaining and leaving, he kept saying we were dumb and he knew better. I left 6 songs in.
Saw the band last night in Detroit. Show started with 1 hour delay. Band played for about 30 minutes, then left the stage. Audience was waiting for another 30 minutes while the roadies emptied the stage from equipment. Band came back to act to music played by playback. Blinding lights directed at the audience made it impossible to make out what was going on stage. worst performance ever. I would like my money back.
Not sure what’s more disturbing fact they are playing live or fans think this is good - sure Andrew can play with young musicians but no way can he cover up his lack of a voice - if anything it’s upsetting and wouldn’t want to take part in it 😢
