Going by the current definition of nepotism, he too was a product of it. But one must understand he was s self made man. He wrote story, screenplay produced, directed and acted in his films. All were blockbusters . Ultimately there is no substitute for talent.
I really respect and like Mr. Manoj Kumar. I am a fan of his movies. And, after watching some of his interviews, I am a fan of the person behind the persona. He is referred to as, "Mr. Bharat." Of the stars of his times, he is probably the one person who made most movies about his culture and his country. I say all this as a proud Pakistani! He is of the times when we respected each other. He made a movie with, what he referred to in his interview, "bhai Mohammad Ali" and "Bhabi Zeba" from across the border. All this, while he was a staunch supporter of Bharat. He personifies the fact that one can love his country without hating another. I wish more people in the world were like him and it would be a better place.
